Nearly 13 years in the making... Kraid's Lair from Metroid has finally come to fruition! ◆ Metroid shirts by Draculabyte: https://draculabyte.com/ ◆ Gameplay by Hornlitz (Metroid NES) and Revolver (Metroid: Zero Mission) I've had this song on the backburner for an eternity. We recently held our latest GaMetal Discord Request Battle (discord link below!), which was themed "NES's Revenge", inspired by the NES Medley's extremely low vote count from the recent community polls where I asked you all which old console medleys you'd like to see return. For that battle, GaMetal Discorders were able to submit their most wanted NES songs in an initial qualifier round. The top 4 were then put into a mini tournament, facing off against each other until a winner was crowned. Kraid came in at the #4 spot and managed to win the entire thing, beating out both Dr Wily's Castle (MM2) and Title Theme (Solstice). I've based this arrangement mostly on the versions from Metroid: Zero Mission and SSB Melee, with a hint of the SSBU version (which is outstanding, but I didn't really want to just make a soundalike version of it).
