Hey folks, just finished up the video for the special track made for the recently released GaMetal Power Pack #2 for Clone Hero and other Guitar Hero-likes: a shred-fest over Battle to the Death from Final Fantasy VI!

I was originally only going to do the musical portion for the video and not the solo showdown, but I had a late change of heart (Miscellany also encouraged me to do it lol). It was tough as hell relearning all of this!

I mentioned I'd have an update post for you this weekend, I'll try to get that up for you all tonight, but if not I'll have it up first thing tomorrow morning. Till then, thank you all as always for your ongoing contribution and support, you all are the best!! 😃

Battle to the Death (Final Fantasy VI) [Guitar Hero Boss Battle Arrangement] - GaMetal

It's a fierce Guitar Battle to the Death.... with yours truly! 🙂🎸 ◆ GaMetal Power Pack #2 download: https://customsongscentral.com/gametal-power-pack-2/ ◆ Shirts by Draculabyte: https://draculabyte.com ◆ Thumbnail art by nintendonut1: https://twitter.com/nintendonut1 00:06 Battle to the Death Part 1 02:28 Battle to the Death Part 2 (Guitar Solo Sudden Death) Five years ago, we released a pack of charts for Clone Hero called the GaMetal Power Pack ( https://tinyurl.com/GaMetalPowerPack ). I've been getting emails and the occasional questioning comment over the years asking if we'd ever make a second one. And last week we did just that! The new pack includes over 70 charts created by pro charter Miscellany, as well this special new track. The concept to make a new "Boss Battle" track was the brainchild of Jason Paradise, who brought it up to me in a discussion we had several years ago, as early as the creation of the first pack back in 2019. I wasn't able to get around to it then, but figured I could throw something together if and when we got around to making another pack. At first, I was going put together an arrangement with some of my more popular solos from older GaMetal songs, but what I ended up with sounded like a miniature version of the solo medley from the first pack, so I tossed that idea and decided to do something else: a bunch of soloing over one of my favorite game songs, Fierce Battle (which has now officially been renamed to "Battle to the Death" which I must admit is awesome) from Final Fantasy VI. Originally this was only going to be the musical portion (the first 2:20), but this was taken a huge step further when the pack's charter, Miscellany, suggested I add a guitar-only "sudden death" section to go all the way with the GH3 Boss Battle influence. Thus, "Battle to the Death" was born! I specifically wrote all of the guitar work in this song to be incredibly difficult for Guitar Hero-likes to challenge the craziest of 5 fret rhythm game players, so there's a whole lot of speed shred throughout this entire arrangement. GaMetal Power Pack 2 is available to download (free of course) over at CustomSongsCentral, enjoy! https://customsongscentral.com/gametal-power-pack-2/ Quick note: there are two different versions of the charts for this song, a "true boss battle" version (seen in this video), and a single-player version with both leads combined (the toughest version). ◆ Support GaMetal on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/jonnyatma ◆ Follow me on Twitch: https://twitch.tv/jonnyatma ◆ Follow me on Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/jonnyatma ◆ Follow me on Instagram: https://instagram.com/jonnyatma ◆ Draculabyte GaMetal T-Shirt Collection: https://draculabyte.com/collections/gametal ◆ More GaMetal Shirts n' Stuff: https://teespring.com/stores/gametal ◆ Interested in the EQ I use, or even the shelf stuff? https://kit.co/jonnyatma ◆ Atmacoustics (Acoustic Short/Loop) channel: https://youtube.com/atmacoustics ◆ GaMetal Discord: https://discord.gg/6Qk8HyK ◆ Download GaMetal songs and more: https://www.jonnyatma.com ◆ GaMetal Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GaMetal/

Miscellany

I am VERY glad I convinced you to add the second half of the cover. It was worth it and for those who don't follow anything Clone Hero related, it's a nice surprise too hahaha That was worth the wait!
