If there's a repeating theme in recent blog posts (or at least it feels that way as I write them), it's that I'm consistently surprised by its success.

This week, I passed 50 active patrons. Normally, I try not to get too hung up on things like the number of patrons I have, as the the number tends to fluctuate frequently. But this was a goal of mine. And we hit it.

Yeah yeah, you're all great and I love you. I've told you this before.

So now that we've hit that goal, it's time to reap the rewards of this accomplishment: A few years ago, I wrote a pretty lengthy story called The Loft, which I split into (I think) 17 chapters on my Tumblr. At close to 20,000 words (and over 75 pages), it's easily the longest AB/DL story I've ever written. There's a lot I like about the story, but I've been pretty aware of its flaws for sometime too. I definitely felt myself losing a little bit of my momentum late in the story. Also, one of the chapters is just...gone. I have no idea why, but the post on Tumblr is blank and I can't find it on any of my personal archives.

I've been meaning to come back to the story for a while now. I wanted to give it another scan for editing. I wanted to rewrite a few parts. I wanted to replace the missing chapter. And, I wanted to add a little bit to the story. And, because I love giving future-Me something to do, I told myself that I'd undertake this project once I hit 50 patrons.

Ta-da!

So, I'm working on that now. I don't have a time frame in mind - it'll be a project I work on in between some other writing. But once its ready to go, I'll be making it available to all patrons, on all tiers - since all of you have contributed to helping me reach this milestone.

So again, thank you. Both for being patrons, and for giving me more to do...

Have a great weekend! Do something naughty, please.
