Next game -- piratical adventure? (Patreon)

Hello, everyone! As Cybertickles 2077 nears the end of its development, I’ve begun looking at the next one. Options like Pokemon Underground 2 and League of Tickles 3 are always available, but there is one new idea that I’ve been rolling around in my mind for a while: an open-world, nautical, piratical adventure!
I’ve done a few stories in that genre: https://www.deviantart.com/oneortheother/art/The-Newest-Harem-Slave-692467231and https://www.deviantart.com/oneortheother/art/On-Ticklish-Tides-Part-1-697170614
If you haven’t read ‘On Ticklish Tides’, I highly recommend it, by the way. I reread it, and it’s (IMO) a thrilling journey full of intrigue, memorable characters, historical details, and naturally lots of tickling. In fact, I considered adapting it into a proper game, but it follows such tight story beats that it wouldn’t be that doable. It’s also not quite what I want to do.
Taking inspiration from a video game I recently enjoyed and a Netflix series I recently enjoyed, I’d like to present to you... Feathers & Crossbones (title very much wip)
The main video game inspiration is Cursed Crew: Shadow Gambit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idbdgDkKLzs&t=9s&ab_channel=PlayStation), while the Netflix inspiration is One Piece, which I think needs no introduction.
I wanted to do something different for this one, and I namely wanted to focus on an open world, different factions, and player expression.
Firstly, I like the idea of a big world that you can explore at your leisure. After the introductory mission, you can choose to engage in any with any of the other pirate factions in any order. Those factions (currently) are:
The Chimeras (half-animals)
The Merchants Guild (Marines, traders, smugglers)
The Clowns (circus folk)
The Cursed (skeletons and magic users)
Followers of the Maiden’s Flame (holy inquisition)
The Nords (think Skellige from Witcher)
The player can choose the name and gender of the character, and the number of m/f scenes will change accordingly.
But the biggest thing for this game, and the one that I haven’t been able to decide yet, is what faction the player will join. Honestly, I think it would be quite interesting to be a member of the Followers of the Maiden’s Flame. The tickling explanation (purify the heretics!) fits well. Or maybe it would be better to be an ex-member and form your own crew? Decisions, decisions...
Anyway, that’s what I have so far! What do you guys think? Any opinions or suggestions? Worth pursuing, or would you prefer to do something different? You guys generously fund and bankroll these humble game projects of mine, so your voice really matters a lot to me. Let me know!
And lastly, Cybertickles will not have any AI pictures, since it seems many of you aren’t a big fan of the idea. I think you can expect a release at some point in December! Have a good week, everyone :)
