Howdy, everyone!

Got lots of exciting news in the monthly big update. Firstly, for most of you guys, I think this'll be your first look at the new game engine! You can see a lot of graphical changes as well as UI and animations, and I hope you guys like how it feels, especially the new faster-paced combat system.

I really wanted to invoke the sense of wonder and space exploration, so I went and made a huge Galaxy Map for you guys to explore. I'm still gonna add content to it over time, like a mini-map, more encounters, side quests, and planets, but this should let you guys know what it's gonna look like.

In other news, I have also commissioned rising star BadCrab (https://www.deviantart.com/badcrab/gallery) to do the poster art, and I'm very excited to see what he comes up with.

As usual, please let me know about any bugs you may have or suggestions! Thanks again for all the support and love :)

For $15 tier people, I'll have another update soon with the follow-up council scene to Therum plus two laboratory tickle scenes including the one with Dr Liana :D

Now that I had a chance to play, man the gameplay has improved. Running and fighting has become so much smoother. Excited to see the other planets. And I must say, I like Freya's personality.

The boons of a new game engine! And I'm pleased you're happy with how your character turned out :D

2021-11-15 21:50:42 -When opening chests containing precious metals, the amount in the container overrides your existing amount of precious metals instead of being added (i.e. if have 300 and open a chest with 200, your total is now 200) -The Exogeni ship on the world map displays as just the name with no ship icons, and it just repeats the "ship attacks nature preserve" cutscene if you try talking to the square where the ship icon should be - Similarly, after triggering and winning the fight with the smuggler ship, the ship disappears from the world map, but the name "Smuggler Ship" doesn't. -Some kind of zoomed out world map would be extremely helpful for navigation, otherwise you just have to remember where the hell everything is, which is just needlessly frustrating and annoying. -I don't see a way to exit the world map to go back to the ship without landing on a planet first and then going back to the ship -Not a fan of the ATB system for battle. A setting to activate a "Wait" version where the ATB pauses when you're selecting a character's actions would be much more tolerable, or just going back to turn-based, especially because I'm having trouble clearly & quickly telling which enemy I'm targeting. That faint glowing is not clear enough when there's a bunch of other stuff happening, and having to take time to focus and figure out who I'm targeting puts me at a disadvantage due to the ATB system. -Generally, I'm not playing your games for the gameplay. In all of them so far, I've never found the combat fun, it's just something getting in the way between me and the tickling scenes. I'd skip the battles, but I'm sure it'd come back to bite me in the ass when I'm not leveled up enough to beat some boss later. -When I finished the Therum mission and got back to the ship, for some reason my room was full of lamps on all the decoration spots. -Also when I finished the Therum mission, Cissy and Mackie were still following me, but they were also still at their normal locations on the ship. -I have no idea what any of the purchase-able items are or what they do, and I don't see an inventory screen to see what items I already have. -The ship is big enough that I want a map to remember where everything is. From what I've seen in this preview, I'm really not looking forward to slogging through a bunch of combat and exploration to get to the longer tickle scenes.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to type up this feedback! I promise I will consider all of it in further iterations of the game. Thanks for bringing my attention to the Precious Metals bug, and I've sorted it. The ExoGeni ship scene isn't finished yet, but I will sort it out soon. The use of labels for events is something new for me for this game, and I'm still working out how to use them, but I've fixed the problem with the Smuggler's ship, thanks. A mini-map will come with the next update to make traversal easier. Yeah, it’s hard to go back to the ship once you’re in the Galaxy Map, which is why I put in the indicator to not go in until you’re finished talking to crew and etc. However, I will be putting in more places to go so you can return to the ship directly if that’s your wish. Yeah, the new battle system is something I want to try for this game to be a little closer to the fast-paced shooter-feel of Mass Effect. I can personally assure you that the game will not require grinding for levels. I’ve been testing boss fights with all characters at Level 1, and it’s very winnable. I understand, and you only need to do as many fights as you want to. You should also be able to avoid much of the battles if you don’t want to do them. Decoration stuff will be updated soon for descriptions! But basically all items in this episode are just for decorative/quest purposes. I’ll also add back in an inventory option so the player can see what they have already. You’ll get used to the ship’s map in time 😉 Don’t forget the blue signs tell you what the rooms are! And yeah, I understand what you mean with the pacing dragging at times. It’s always a tricky balance between build-up and pay-off. I’ll do my best to keep things in the right balance and thank you again for the feedback!
