Hansel reached up and broke off a little of the roof to see how it tasted, while Gretel stood next to the windowpanes and was nibbling at them. Then a gentle voice called out from inside:

Nibble, nibble, little mouse, Who is nibbling at my house?

Hey everyone, and happy sneak peek day! I know I'm late on this one; I've been out with the flu this week, but had enough of this map finished to show off a bit. I hope I'll be able to prop myself up by my computer this weekend to hit the map target by Monday.

For my next map, I have a holiday special for you. While not altogether unique, the story of Hansel & Gretel is a childhood storytime favorite of mine and no doubt the inspiration behind the nefarious hags at the Bonegrinder! I've always loved these types of stories growing up, and little did I know, they were already influencing the dark fantasy that would be my calling in TTRPGs.

I know the holidays provide a wonderful opportunity to show close friends and family what that "crazy RPG game you're always on about" is, and if you're like me, you'll recruit anyone willing to roll some dice into the hobby. I think the story of Hansel & Gretel is a perfect opportunity to get some new adventurers minted into this wonderful hobby. Meet in town, hear some rumors, talk to the villagers about a pair of missing siblings, and off they go through the creepy forest to this misplaced but pleasant-looking sugary home in the center of the woods.

This map will feature a tall forest looming over this frosted gingerbread house with a trail of candy leading up to its unassuming doors. Inside, however, the home will reveal the owner's nefarious secret and the sweet smell of sugar will be replaced with other, far more horrifying odors...

Assuming I can keep making my CON saves against this flu, I should have this map ready to go by Monday. If not, I'll be sure to let you all know so at least I'm setting proper expectations.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Cheers,

DM Andy
