Hey everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Also, a very happy Halloween to you all as well! Today, I have created a map to showcase the outskirts of the Village of Barovia as I re-map my way to an updated village.
The goal for this map was to create a landscape and an encounter-rich map for the possible dangers that might lurk on the outer edges of the Village and plague those hardy farmers who struggle to grow their puny root vegetables.
This map comes with both interior and exterior versions and includes 4 houses total: two lived-in, 1 abandoned, and 1 ruined. From wolves to zombies to even seeing Granny with her cart of pies, it's my hope this map will give you inspiration to add some fun encounters to your game.
This map is 40x30 and features the Svalich Road winding down a path to the Village. There are a total of 4 buildings for your players to explore and two small farms, both producing meager root vegetables that struggle to grow with the lack of healthy sunlight in the valley.
There are two core maps available, which include the exterior (roof) version and the interior version of these small homes.
For this map, I've created a total of 8 color moods for you to select the perfect atmosphere, along with various weather options.
Additionally, I've created a variant for each color mood with the lights removed as well so you have some lighting options.
For my Champion Tier patrons, you will get the following with this release:
- Grid & Gridless versions
- 4k & 8k resolution
- Jpg & Webp file types
- 8 Color moods
- Weather options, including fog & rain
- No Lights version
- Interior & Exterior maps
- VTT Sizing Guide
As October comes to an end (Wait... really? When did that happen?? I could have sworn it was still June!) I'll be flipping back to our golden coast of Saltmarsh with location 6: Keledek's Tower, which will be a 3-story tall Wizard's Tower map. I'll also be working on the bottom of the well map for the Lunch Break Heroes addon to the Village of Barovia, and I'm hoping to take a look at the prologue map for the Interactive Tome of Strahd. I have a busy month planned, and I'm excited to share my work with you all!
As always, a huge thank you to you all for supporting my work!
Cheers,
DM Andy
