Hey everyone and happy release Monday! It's finally here, the 6th map in my Castle Ravenloft series and the 3rd floor of this epic castle; The Rooms of Weeping! I've been working on this map for quite a while now and so glad I finally get to share it with this amazing community! I put great care into each room of this map to make it as detailed as possible and to capture the mood and essense of this key location. Rooms such as the Study are so poignant as the painting of Tatyana looms over a raging hearth. At this level, you can almost hear the low, rhythmic beating of the north tower coming from high above!

For this map I've created a total of three core versions:

  • Interior with the roof on the Daern's Instant Fortress
  • Interior with the roof off the Daern's Instant Fortress
  • Exterior Version

I could not decide on how best to handle the "tower within the tower" for the treasury room at K41, so I figured I would include both! The room of the Daern's Instant Fortress helps show your players the Adamantite tower looming inside of this location and the version without the roof help to show the vast amount of gold still kept within the coffers of Ravenloft.

For the King's Bedroom and Study I wanted both of these rooms to be as pristine as possible while the rest of the castle lies in disrepair. The study has enough space on the bookshelves to feasibly hold over 1,000 tomes and you'll notice the mirrored reflection of the massive painting of Tatyana in the polished table.

In the Belfry, the rafters cast deep shadows below the web infested room as giant spiders loom about, stirred by the ringing of the bell by some intrepid adventurer!

You'll find the grizzly scene in the bathroom and painful memories manifesting themselves in the Dining Hall.

In addition to the interior locations, I also created the interior ramparts on the battlements. These ramparts include the roof versions along with the main roof for the entire floor for those adventurers who are walking around the outer battlements. This adds greater flexibility for "zooming in" so to speak from the main full castle exterior map.

For my Champion Tier patrons, you get the following variants with this release:

  • Grid & Gridless
  • 4k & 8k Resolution
  • Day & Night
  • Rain Version (Both interior and exterior)
  • Clean Version (No lights or fog)
  • Interior & Exterior maps
  • Webp files both in 4k & 8k with a VTT sizing guide

I have a few projects cooking up in the workshop at the moment. So I don't get massive burnout from the amazing, yet incredibly detailed and complex castle, I want to work on some generic maps. Being that farmlands are varied and common in Barovia, I am working on an abandoned farm map, complete with farmland, a barn and a farmhouse all abandoned. For what reason.. well that is up to you!

Additionally, I am starting to map out Chapter 10 of the Interactive Tome of Strahd along with working out the planning for the Spires of Ravenloft.

Lastly, I'm excited to catch a glimpse at the next original adventure from Lunch Break Heroes so I can start making the next set of maps for these incredible and well-written adventures.

And of course, as we get into the Holiday season, I want to say I wish you and your families the very best during these next few months of craziness :)

Cheers,

DM Andy

Thank you for what you've made so far! My group will most likely finish before christmas this year, but a thousand "thank you"s from us for what you've done! Looking forward to the final fight in the castle!

Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to building the Spires next :)

Oh shoot!! Well, let's hope I can get the Spires done and maaaaybe the Larders at least before Christmas :) Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm so honored and humbled by your support. Good luck to both your players and you for running the epic final battle (My own party is not far from the castle so I'm in a similar boat)
