Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind the community that because August is a five Monday month, there is no release today so I can finish up some of my current map projects. There will be a release next Monday, the 29th and this one will include a total of 4 maps! I'll sneak peek some more this Thursday, but you can look forward to:

  • A college building for the school of anatomy. This features a large autopsy theater and two offices along with some of the grounds outside.
  • Under the autopsy theater is a cold morgue where they store bodies used for study
  • A huge graveyard at 60x60 grid! This graveyard will include a groundskeeper's cottage and an on-site crematorium
  • An underground crypt map for the final encounter

Additionally, you'll get the written adventure for free just by being a member of the DM Andy Maps community! This original adventure is written by Lunch Break Heroes and I'm very much looking forward to playing through it myself.

Beyond that, I will be spending time in September working on the exterior of Castle Ravenloft! This will feature the outside curtain wall, grounds, overlook, and of course the castle proper. This will be exterior only and the next map in this series will be the interior for the 1st floor.

September will be a bit of a wild month for me as I will be moving to Los Angeles with my wife for her school / work. It's a big move for us and we could not be more excited starting this new chapter of our life together. As you can imagine, there will be a lot of packing over the next few weeks and there might be some down time without internet so I'm crossing my fingers it does not disrupt my map making schedule too much! But I wanted to let you know as full transparency is important to me, just in the event I'm not able to make my regular releases.

Of course, as I start my work on Castle Ravenloft proper I'll be working on finishing up the Interactive Tome of Strahd in addition to making more generic maps such as campsites, forest, swamp, graveyards, roads, farms, bridges, etc. My goal here is to give you plenty of options for encounters you run throughout your dark fantasy games. I'm so excited to finish Castle Ravenloft and even re-work some of my older maps like I've done with the Gulthias tree and Tsolenka Pass.

Thank you, as always, from the bottom of my heart for all of your continued support, engagement, and excitement for my work! I'm very much looking forward to bringing you more battlemaps that help enhance your games.

Cheers,

DM Andy

Thank you! Moving is both a pain and also really exciting at the same time :)
