Update: Jan 14th, 2022: One our of our amazing community members, JM Tixu78, has translated the adventure write up in French! I really appreciate the time taken to translate this and I hope it will benefit our French speaking friends. You can find the attachment below.

Original Post: Happy Monday all! I hope everyone had a great holiday and I'm excited to usher in the new year coming up in just a few days!

For today's release, I wanted to share some custom homebrew content I've added to my own personal game. I have written a short quest which takes the party to the Fetid Swamps to help put one of the Knights at peace. This is a very Witcher inspired quest and gives you yet another location map for the The Fetid Swamp.

This map features a moonlit meadow with a massive dead tree in the center. Swirling around this glade are the spirits of long dead villagers of the nearby ruined town (or victims of Denissa!).

This is only my second original adventure I've written so I look forward to any feedback.

With this release, my Champion tier patrons get the following:

  • Written short adventure "An Eternal Love" PDF
  • Grid / Gridless
  • 8k
  • With Rain
  • Clean Versions
  • Versions without the ghosts
  • Denissa token
  • Webp files both 4k and 8k with a Foundry sizing guide

I've also credited all of my awesome patrons in the written adventure! I could not do all this without your support!

I hope you enjoy this unique location. I have one more like this I'll be adding and then I'll be moving onto the Wizard of Wines!

Have a safe and very Happy New Year everyone!

Cheers,

DM Andy

Hey Andy, any stats for the Bodytaker Plant (failure 4) ? the Groff (failure 19) ? (or are these from a WoC book ?). Any wild magic table (success 10) ?

DM_Andy

Hey JM! I used some stat blocks from a few WotC resources. The Bodytaker Plant is on page 226 / 227 of Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft. This could easily be replaced with a Shambling Mound. The Groff is on page 194 of the new Strixhaven book which I thought was perfectly fitting for a swamp environment. I originally had giant constrictor snakes here so this could be swamp out for 2 of those monsters from the monster manual. And lastly, the Wild Magic table is in the PHB on page 104 using the same mechanics "Wild Magic Surge" from the Sorceress class.

Honestly I wish you would prioritize wizard of wines. This is awesome content but I have had to add the base Strahd images for Wizard of Wines to my foundry campaign because I am not sure you will have it done before my players make it out there :). I will try and waylay them because your maps are so much nicer

I'm actually working on the winery right now :) I don't think it'll be ready in time for my next map release, but my goal is to have it ready by the 10th. It'll be a 40x40 map so there is plenty of room for vineyards around the winery (and fighting blights) and I also plan to make a destroyed version as well, in the event the druids are successful.
