Update: July 5th, 2021. The amazing Pyram King has done it again! Another great video for this location and he was kind enough to use my map. He creates wonderful content for CoS all of which is Foundry ready. You can check out his video here

As the lone fisherman bobs up and down on his rickety boat, a wiggling burlap sack is thrown into the water. Was that a scream you just heard?

This map is excellent for any water encounters you might have planned from the shoreline of Black Lake. Whether it be creatures decending on your camping party from the murky waters or perhaps your party must get into small rowboats to get across the black waters. Who knows what lurks underneath?

This map comes with the following variants all packaged up in the attached file:

  • Grid / Gridless
  • Light / Dark
  • No Boat version
  • Clean version (no weather effects of night filter)
  • Heavy fog version
  • 8k Versions

Enjoy and good luck running your games!

Hi DM Andy. Well, the end result is not a large file. Taking lake Zarovich as an example the files are 1.1 MB each which is pretty low for such a big map. Also each square ends up being only 41 pixers which is very low. For reference other creators have 140 pixels per square. If you would be so kind, I could use this map in 8k or higher, night versions, gridless.

Not a problem at all! I exported the night gridless map (with and without boats) and updated the zip file attached with an "8k" folder. The files were exported at the highest resolution at 3276 x 8192 px. This map was not nearly as large as my others due to it mostly being texture so the file size is quire reasonable. Hope this helps! :)

What happened to the png of the boat?

DM_Andy

Unfortunately, I had to take all of my .png assets down by direction of Inkarnate which is the map platform that I use to create my maps in. They don't allow any .png files to be created with their assets, even if it is by my own creation (such as roofs, levels of buildings, etc). So sorry!
