Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I have the next set of Winter's Grasp maps releasing for a total of three maps fully re-done with a cold winter theme.

The sun might be blazing hot here in California, but these maps are ice-cold!

As a reminder for those who might have missed this project announcement, I am in the process of converting my dark fantasy maps to a snowy / winter theme. This is great for campaigns like Curse of Strahd, which gives the world a completely new play style and enhances the dangers lurking around every frosty corner. These maps are also great for use with other modules like Rime of the Frost Maiden or to support any other snowy theme campaign, you might be running, regardless of the system.

As I want to keep everything organized, there will be three more posts following this post, one for each map. This way, I don't have a single post with tons of .zip files, and I can link to each map individually.

Oh, and in case you missed it, I have created a fun little trailer for this map series here!

This release comes with the following snowy maps:

  • The Old Farm Road

  • Gothic Village Outskirts

  • River Wetlands

I created these locations to support the surrounding area of the Village of Barovia, from the River Ivlis to the south to the various roads that are dotted with farmland that lead into the village.

Each of these maps comes with various weather effects and three core color variants:

  • Gloom

  • Chilly Day

  • Night

You can download each of these maps here:

Up next, I'll be switching gears back to the Saltmarsh series and working on the Council Hall building within the town of Saltmarsh. A stately building used to hold council meetings and carry out the occasional execution at the gallows.

With the release of the Falls Bridge last month, I thought it would be a really dynamic and fun location to build the top of the falls, so I'll be working on a map to support the very edge of the waterfall as it drops thousands of feet to the river below! An epic location for an epic encounter for sure.

I hope you are enjoying my Winter's Grasp series, and thank you for all your continued support!

Cheers,

DM Andy
