Hey everyone and happy New Release Monday! Today I'm excited to release my Saltmarsh-inspired map "Sharkfin Bridge". This 30x40 map features a large massive bridge spanning a river estuary rushing out to the coastal harbor nearby. Adorned with buildings on either side, there are plenty of houses and quirky shops for your players to enjoy as you showcase the bustling trade of the city.

Additionally, I've created a map for the "Underbridge" as well, showcasing a small collection of shanty buildings where less then legal trades and deals go down after dark. A great place to add a fun encounter or meet up with a retired sailor just trying to live their best life alone under the bridge with a fishing pole in hand.

Oh and if you missed it, I made fun little trailer here!

This map features the exteriors of the buildings only for now. I may go back in the future and add interiors, but this would be a massive project as most buildings are 3+ stories tall. I want to focus on flushing out the rest of Saltmarsh and my CoS Reworks for now but I think the current map will give you lots of inspiration for shops and locations.

I wanted to showcase a few of the fun little quirky locations I've added to this map!

Barnacle Bob's Tackle - A place for all your fishing needs!

Salty Kraken Ale House - Enjoy a salty brew at the Salty Kraken!

The Driftwood Emporium - All manner of salvaged trinkets can be found here!

Mr Kim Leng's Food - This was inspired by the Mr Kim Leng's from one of my fav movies "The Fifth Element".

There are a few other locations, along with plenty of homes across the row of buildings on this fantastical bridge. I hope you enjoy it!

For my Champion Tier patrons, you will get the following in this release:

  • Over bridge and Under bridge maps

  • 6 color moods: Dark Fairytale, Gloom, Ghostly, Night, Sunny Day, and Warm

  • Weather effect versions such as rain, fog, and sun rays

  • 8k & 4k image resolution

  • Grid & No Grid

  • VTT Sizing Guide

As we near the end of May, I realize I've been created some generic encounter maps for the dark fantasy side of things but not at much for the Saltmarsh side. I also really enjoyed making the Elden Rings-inspired catacomb dungeon last month and figured I'd marry the two concepts together. So next up will be a map loosely based off an in-game location which will feature a rocky island with the ancient ruins of a small dragon-worshiping church. This can be a great island encounter to add to any of your nautical campaigns and offers plenty of room for exploration and combat.

As I head into the month of June, I'll be continuing my CoS re-works with Bildrath's Mercantile and the Blood on the Vine tavern. I am currently commissioning an artist to create some fun wine / tavern-themed assets that I can't wait to show off! Once I finished those locations along with the Burgomaster's Mansion, the entire village will have received a massive facelift with highly detailed maps for each key-location and enough for you to run encounters on both the outskirts and streets of the Village of Barovia. Once I'm done here, I'll be heading down the Old Svalich Road toward Krezk, working on reworks of the Old Mill and creating more generic encounter maps along the way.

As always, thank you for your incredible support! It truly means the world to me and I just love engaging with you all in the comments. I highly encourage you all to share your thoughts and even in-game stories! I'll never get tired of hearing them.

Cheers,

DM Andy
