Hey everyone! I say this a lot, but I cannot believe I'm writing this post at the end of April. How? How have we knocked out four months already??

Time really does fly when you're mapping, and boy, have I been mapping this month!

I wanted to create these recap posts in case you missed any maps, so you don't have to go fishing around for them. But in case you do want to go fishing (and who wouldn't? It's a lovely pastime!), don't forget I do keep my Map Hub updated with each new release for my entire map library. And because I get asked this a lot, you don't get billed for anything I've released previously, so you can download all my previous maps to your heart's content!

The Burgomasters Manor

I love...loooove manor maps! But. They take me quite some time to build, so this release had to be done in two parts. However, I think you'll agree the end results were worth the two-part release! Including some new assets I've had commissioned along with a slight change in perspective, I find this gives much greater depth and height to my maps. As a DM, I love showing the entire building to my players and not just a flat roof, so I hope your players will appreciate being able to see the beautiful building facades (at least one side of it!).

And, of course, who doesn't love a lavish, gothic manor interior? This map also includes a small wine cellar map, so you get 4 core maps in total: Exterior, interior level 1, interior level 2, and the wine cellar. The inspiration for this map was a rebuilt or "in the past" version of the Burgomaster's mansion from Berez before the town was destroyed by Strahd's wraith. This is also covered in Chapter 12 of the awesome Interactive Tome of Strahd supplement, in which the players can re-live memories of Marina and Burgomaster Lazlo Ulrich. However, even if you're not using this supplement, there is always room for another gothic manor house in Barovia (or any other campaign setting, for that matter!).

And in case you were wondering, I still have the large garden in the back of this mansion on my to-do list. :)

Hoolwatch Tower

Marking the 11th location I've mapped out for the Saltmarsh series, Hoolwatch Tower provides another post for the Saltmarsh guard to garrison, defend, and muster their forces to protect the city and use it as a base of operations.

The Saltmarsh maps have been a great change of pace from the dark and dreary maps I mostly focus on. I've enjoyed creating vibrant, sunny maps that feature the essence of this classic coastal town.

This map features the interior of the guard barracks along with three levels of the tower. I've also added some barricades and two ballistas to the top of the hill for a grand "last stand" type encounter. What would attack such a location? Well, that's up to you, DM!

Catacombs of Forgotten Kings

Okay, I have to come clean. I've been playing a lot of Elden Ring in the few precious hours I get each week to game. Sadly, I don't have much time for gaming these days while working both full-time jobs, but when I do, I love to torture myself in the Lands Between. Outside of killing really difficult bosses, one of the greatest joys in this series is the fantastical and wonderous scenes the talented artists have built. I find myself constantly stopping to take screenshots and admire every single little detail of all the great locations of the game. So with inspiration a-plenty, I wanted to create a catacombs map inspired by the catacombs of the game! Along with some amazing custom assets I had commissioned specifically for my maps, I was able to build an "Elden Rings" inspired location to be used as a generic encounter/dungeon map!

Considering the roots of the Erdtree might be a little too specific, I created a version with and without them to give you more versatility in using the map. I'm hoping your response will be positive on these types of maps because I'd love to create more generic maps like this each month.

That's it for the recap! I'm already working hard on May's maps, which include a rework of the classic Church of Barovia, a Svalich Road-inspired map, and Sharkfin Bridge from the Saltmarsh series. It's going to be a busy month, but I'm excited to share this work with you all!

Cheers,

DM Andy
