Saul

What a fantastic episode. There are parts of it that I just can't imagine being written; they must have been at least partly improvised because the interplay is so reactive and quick and happens between four or five people all talking over one another. Miles Jupp was utterly brilliant in this. What a great guest. I didn't watch this at the time of its broadcast, although I think I've seen all these episodes at some point just via repeats and occasional family watchathons at christmas and easter. But watching it all as it was broadcast, in sequence - it's really extraordinarily good. The total chaos of the political world is depicted perfectly, the skills Malcolm and the rest of them need to roll with the punches as things change every few minutes, the way the plot twists and bends in insane yet completely realistic ways, all while these quite rich characters deliver all this brilliant dialogue throughout...it's a high-wire act. And the 'nano-kettle'.

Saul

Malcolm delivering the line "leave Glenn alone, he's had enough to deal with as it is" is the definition of 'chutzpah'; like the joke about the guy who murders his parents then throws himself on the mercy of the judge because now he's an orphan. The total shamelessness of it, lol

Glenn: I'm not having it Malcolm you've gone too far! Malcolm: get a grip Glenn i didn't fucking cum in your mouth Might be the most unexpected and outrageous line ever 🤣 absolutely hilarious

Michael Harrop

Followed swiftly with the amazing 'I feel like I'm in a therapy group being run by my own rapist', what a brilliant episode 😂

Terri is one of the best comedy characters of all time.

Dave P

Not sure if you know but the actor who played Hugh got charged with payin to access a website with indecent images of children, he went to prison, he claimed it was in research of a role but yeah,, not great. Thats why he was dropped.

This was a really great episode. That is true it did seem like the dialog flowed well so I can see it being improvised partly at least.
