Alex killing all excitement with the final results absolutely killed me lmao

David Lyons

You can blame my inner weeb, but I do like the Japanese theme to this series, from the obvious things like Greg's manga style portrait or the music, to the subtler details you might not catch straight away, like the gate in the garden painted like the flag of Japan, or the TM of the wax seal in the intro now resembling katakana letters :)

ALW

Series 8 is great; most series are. But I feel I'll miss the cast of series 7 especially hard. They were great.

When not doing reactions, Josh apparently watches videos about farting in a jar! lol

Austin Stratton

Josh, so the guy sat first is Iain Stirling, he's from Scotland, hence the accent, he was a children's TV entertainer, sort of a host with a puppet dog called Hacker T Dog that introduces shows and shows off kids paintings they have sent in. Joe you know Lou Sanders is a comedienne mostly doing stand-up on shows like Live at the Apollo and Mock The Week. Paul Sinha is a Chaser on a TV show called The Chase, where contestants try to win money by beating a general knowledge expert and Paul is one of the five people on the show the contestants try to beat. (The show he thinks he looks a twat on and that Alex agrees he looks a twat on 😂) Incredibly smart but not a lateral thinker by any means lol. And Sian is an actress as you know, mostly in comedies.

Austin Stratton

I love those little touches! When they had the Tsar theme even the typewriter had Cyrillic script!! The attention to detail is SO GOOD

Chris

During the filming of this series, Paul Sinha, an extremely intelligent man and a doctor as well as a comic, was actually in the very early stages of having Parkinson's disease. When he was diagnosed the doctors said that everything he did here, and especially decision making, was essentially evidence of him having it.

BigChanChan

Yeah I remember at the time being surprised at his decision making for someone so smart so that explains it.

I love Taskmaster 8, it's a real fun team. I especially love the railway bridge task, among all the tasks on this show that one looks the most fun! I could imagine a bunch of friends together playing that just for a laugh!

Josh

Damn, knowing that is gonna make his scenes hit deep I think

Chris

Absolutely. It's a bit like back to the future 2 and 3 being filmed just before MJ Fox was diagnosed. He had some early symptoms too.

Austin Stratton

Yeah, watching this after knowing that some of the scenes were used in his diagnosis make watching them particularly hard.. especially some parts where he seems a bit lost an confused..
