Josh, I think you would definitely enjoy Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. It was created by Clement & La Frenais, the writers of Porridge. You might struggle with some of the strong regional accents in it (as indeed did many Brits!) but I think the characters and the situations would carry you through.

I can't tell you how great it would be if you watched that. Probably the only reactor in the world to do it and it's a stonewall British classic. Would have to make sure you have the uncensored version to watch because there is one version available in the UK that was shown during the day and it's heavily edited to make it suitable for family viewing.

That will be amazing when it gets watched. I’m sure Open all Hours has been suggested many times before. Slightly niche one to consider - ‘Common as Muck’. Comedy about a group of bin men/trash collectors in the North East of England. From 1994. Gritty but very humorous and lots of relatable people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFT9NfY-EKw
