Awesome episode... The writing is so good in this show. Just the right amount of surrealism with plenty of more obvious humour... All the characters are very likeable too.

I once went to see Lenny Henry Live with my grandmother. I was 15 and she was an Irish 70 something The support act was The Rubber Bishops (a comedy band helmed by Bill Baily). We were very confused by them. I must check out if there is any footage of them on the internet. Strange days.

Wow. You've just stirred a memory in me! I saw The Rubber Bishops at the Reading Festival in 1992. I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw your post just now. I couldn't have even told you that Bill Bailey was a part of that act. I only really became aware of him 4 years later when I saw him in the comedy tent at the Phoenix Festival. What sticks in my mind about The Rubber Bishops is the grief they gave this heckler and getting the audience to join in, it was hilarious!
