Can't believe we're at the last episode already, doesn't feel long since you started The Royle Family! The next epsiode/special is nothing short of amazing, really one of the best things on British TV, imo. Looking forward to your reaction 😀

Does no one say "First" these days? What is the world coming to.

Bensons are cigarettes (Benson & Hedges)

This and next week's special are my favourite episodes of the show.

Austin Stratton

Benson and Hedges are cigarettes Josh! Perfect for baby David!! And DFS is a sofa store, so when Jim asked darren where his Dad is sitting then, he said at the pub XD i think you missed that one cos of DFS only being a British store

Just keep in mind, there are six years between this episode and next weeks special. Loving these reactions :)

This is a fantastic episode. We know the characters so well, just makes it better. I think the next episode is one of the great British sitcom episodes of all time.

It’s not so much that nana was bringing things down by saying there were lots of murders on the Orient Express but what most people think of when they hear orient express (if they’ve heard of it) is the Agatha Christie novel ‘Murder on the Orient Express’

For pure comedy value alone I think this episode is the best of the entire series. You laughed more at this than any other episode so far, Josh, and every time I watch it, so do I! It is truly laugh out loud funny all the way through! :-D I wasn't sure that "Roger" was American vernacular so I was delighted with how much you laughed at the end when Jim yells "Roger my arse!!!" :-D It's sort of a funny line anyway but when you think of its colloquial connotations, it's definitely funnier! Haha! I loved the scenes in the kitchen between Emma, Antony and Darren - just really sweet and really *real*. It was effective too because these young people, barely 20 at this point, were being honest with each other whilst people a generation ahead of them in the next room spent the entire time lying, boasting, or putting on some kind of front. Great juxtaposition and that's what makes the Godfather scene all the more touching I think. Jim's always on fire but he was especially here. Just some cracking lines and no one but Ricky Tomlinson could've played Jim - he lived and breathed that character and there's quite a bit of Ricky in Jim I think! As others have said, next week's episode is just remarkable. I completely adore it and it's for me the very last great episode of the show. It's where the show should've ended IMHO. The episodes that follow have some good moments, and I think they're worth watching the once, but if the series had concluded with next week's episode "The Queen of Sheba" - PERFECT. You will see! Please note that it takes place 6 years after this episode though - quite a jump!

Some people call this British comedy. Some people call it Manchester comedy. Fook off, ye gobshites, it's as Irish as Fr. Ted. Manchester, so much to answer for... ...eg: The Fall The Smiths The Happy Mondays Feck off😜

What a great episode. Such a touching moment in the kitchen 😢 they got me. The end reminded me about that strike you got off Sky, Josh. Did you get your YouTube plaque for 100k subs?

Hey Josh and other Josh fans! Firstly, the impressions they are doing in the kitchen saying about nominating Sada is an impression of Craig from the first ever Big Brother UK. I love how Nana’s eyes lit up and glared at Jim at the mention of Roger and Valerie building an annexe for her Mum! 😂 Denise getting a new top, highlights, etc out of Baby David’s post office account savings, then not only just giving him a cardboard box ‘garage’ Dave made, but told people to buy Baby David 200 cigarettes for his Christmas present! You think you’ve heard it all with Denise’s lack of mothering, but then it sinks even lower still! Jim saying ‘Roger my arse’ at the end is hilarious. I’m guessing you probably know this Josh, but the term ‘rogering’ here is slang, usually referred to as giving someone a good rogering! That’s all I’m saying on that 🤣 The main thing I wanted to mention is one of the reasons why I love you so much Josh. As soon as Roger insulted their home, your face changed, and you didn’t smile when he was talking again through remainder of the episode. I watch most of your reactions, so have heard you share about your life growing up and not having lots of money. It just goes to show how you don’t have to have money to be rich! The Royle’s are extremely rich in my opinion. You are so humble and down to earth, and I could see and feel the way you felt. That’s one of the many reasons that for me you are the only reactions channel I’ve ever taken to. I’m thrilled you managed to laugh so much as the episode went on, again, showing how brilliant you are at what you do. Thank you for a whole second year of reactions, giving me smiles, laughter, company and friendship, and here’s to yet another….and another…and another! Sending love to you and Taylor, and hoping you are enjoying the festive build up to Christmas.x

Hey Josh next week is the beginning of all the specials, every special has outtakes and they are all on youtube, please react to them after each special. they're hilarious.

Great reaction josh. You picked up on a lot of stuff I missed the first time watching this in my late teens. It’s great to see you no one with the characters and getting genuine enjoyment out of the show. I always felt the tender sensitive moments always hit home harder because they are so rare and far between and because they usually involve jim, the most sarcastic, weather beaten grumpy character of the lot. So much more to come. Expect genuine tears in future episodes. The show is right up there with only fools and horses.

Supposed to say “bond with the characters” not “no one with the characters”

That wallpaper job looks bloody awful

Alexander Bond

Always been my favorite episode. Perfect actors even for these little cameos.

Just adding in here as it wasn't picked up, but when Roger says he has a box at box Old Trafford and Maine Road, he's boasting about having two boxes for sworn rival teams! There's no way any Manc would have both so it's a completely ridiculous boast and may get you in a slight spot of bother for even thinking about it! Great reaction, cheers mate!

the dads in early doors another craig cash show, which is fantastic

I'm looking forward to The Queen of Sheba next week; not only is it my favourite episode, but I think it's one of the greatest examples of British TV
