Hey Kiddos, there's 13 series of Red Dwarf, We're only halway through it so far. Think about it... 13 series, one joke. I don't get it. That smegs.

Hollys references you didn’t get are that QPR is Queen’s Park rangers, a London based football team (the joke is they aren’t good at playing away games) and Little Chef was a chain of motor way based cafes (the joke is the service was poor)

...seriously Josh... when 'fans' of RD warn you that the next two episodes are shite I'd listen to the non-fans first, They said it was shite first. Take their advice Josh... Stop looking at it. 'What We Do In The Shadows' is a better fit for this channel, not this lazy, jaded and repetitive bollocks.

Yeah this episode was a tad mediocre, although my prediction was your appreciation of time travel type mechanics might earn it a pass... Something positive I noted about it is that I liked the music used, at least they did something to make it feel a bit different! (Speaking of which, did you notice the tune that Bob was chirping was The Great Escape?)

Awful episode. Just awful. The characters are all wrong (Lister isn't able to realise what a dot-to-dot picture is until connecting the final dot? Really?!), the plots are shambolic and lazy and the jokes are by and large terrible (playing basketball with hard-ons. What is this, Carry On In Space?). What happened to the wit, fantastic character work and clever sci-fi plotting of the show? Series VIII isn't Red Dwarf. It's a dimwitted, incompetent fraud wearing the skin of Red Dwarf. I really ought to say something positive about the episode though, so... um, the "wrong number" joke was pretty good.

"Something positive I noted about it is that I liked the music used, at least they did something to make it feel a bit different!" But it was just library music (non-specific, generic music which is license free and therefore frequently used by cheapo productions) and it didn't suit the show at all. The multi-award winning composer Howard Goodall didn't work on series VIII (his first ever absence from the series) and it shows horribly.

this episode felt like a carry on comedy, very corny old school jokes and etiquette, it is cheesy

Don't be surprised. The actors are BRILLIANT. The writers are shite. Cocaine is a curse. Follow the trajectory. It doesn't EVER get better, it just goes DOWN.

The good thing about people who don't like Series 8 is they almost never feel the need to tell you about it. Over and over. And over. Again. Until the end of time.

Balkyne

It's not the best episode ever but given this ep to the end are essentially one big story and this ep begins to set up the finale, I can't hate it

I don't watch everything on Josh's channel, that's not a gripe i think the voting system is the fairest way to decide what happens. Not gonna lie if Josh was to skip episodes of a show i liked just because some people don't like the episode i would find that very frustrating and probably a deal breaker for me. Sorry for moaning and hope everyone has a wonderful evening

The thing I forgot most about this episode was the amount of music over the top of scenes, and several scenes over stayed their welcome, at least twice. A very odd episode.

Yeah this episode and in my opinion Red Dwarf as a series went downhill as soon as they introduced Kerchansky, but on the upside once we get past the absolute waste of time that ''season 9'' is, it picks back up again for season 10 onwards
