So happy to find someone locally who loves Edward and Tubbs as much as I do

Manly Stump

This was the last episode of the season, the next episode is the Christmas special.

Manly Stump

And dude, Game of Thrones spoilers! :P

Tubs and Edward were genius creations!! Tubs especially was always my fave. As said above, don't forget the xmas special next. I loved season 3...Very different feel to it...no laughter track either.

Fantastic reaction, Josh! :-) As has been mentioned, this is the last episode of the second season. The next episode is the Christmas Special and then we move onto season (or if I'm going to be stubbornly British about it) series three! :-D There is so much to love about this episode, but my favourite bit, and maybe my favourite moment of the whole show, is the Iris/Mrs. Levinson mum/daughter reveal. My reaction was exactly the same as yours, Josh, when I first saw it, although I think everyone is WTF at such a twist! Haha! It's just brilliant and gives it all such a new, weird dynamic. Benjamin cornering Harvey and Val and the "Where's your evidence?" gag is such a funny and satisfying moment. The build up to the fire - it's genuinely quite gripping and dramatic if you look past the fact that it's all just a chaos of grotesqueness and dark comedy, and the series definitely ends on a dramatic note! The only bit of this episode (and I would say maybe even the whole series) that I dislike and think they misjudged was the scene with Herr Lipp saying goodbye to Justin who had been buried underground - you could see him still breathing through the - what looked like - a cellar buoy type apparatus. Hmmm..... now, I adore this show and I love how dark and disturbing it gets. I love how far they push the envelope, how grisly and ghastly and ugly it can all be, but what it also is 99.999999% of the time is *funny*. I just found this kind of superfluous and grim without being even slightly funny. It didn't make me gasp and then laugh, or gasp and be in awe of how daring or dark they were being - it's just a bit sick in a really flat, ineffective and pointless way. Maybe it's just me? I just didn't see the point of it really. It's not bad though that a show with such a nature only has one scene in it that makes me genuinely go "UGH! No.....they didn't need to go there." Oh, no. Tell a lie. There's one scene in Series 3, Episode 1 that even the writers regret. But I won't say what. Haha! That was more about how the scene was translated to screen from script though for me where this was just a bad idea full stop. Just my view! Other than that, I CANNOT WAIT for next week's episode. It's the hour-long Christmas Special and it's my favourite single episode of TLOG of all. I think you'll love it, Josh! :-)

Finding out Judee and Iris were mother and daughter blew my mind at the time. To get their full story though, which is even more insane, you really gotta see the live shows. Really looking forward to your reaction to the Christmas special. It's a tv masterpiece in my opinion. And people have already mentioned series 3 is very different but it's also VERY clever in the way it's written and presented. Can't wait to see what you think :-)

The Iris and Mrs Levinson arc is brilliant! people who think theyre something when theyre nowt! its all to obvious in the world even now We're all the same

Jay

That connection with the Game of Thrones ending cracked me up. I know you were joking Josh, but it would be hilarious if it was true. Great reaction. Looking forward to the Christmas special (which will be the third Christmas special this month).

Jay

@Miffy Without giving away spoilers, the part that was different only lasted a couple of episodes from what I remember. I think it got a bad reception because it was the first couple of episodes to be shown, and the laughter track was removed. I suspect that viewers assumed it would be like that the entire series, even though it wasn't.

Jay

Trying to avoid spoilers, but wasn't the Herr Lipp/Justin scene an important set up for certain scenes in the Christmas Special? I haven't seen it in so long, that I forget.

The Jamaican woman in the charity shop was played by Jeillo Edwards, who also played the flight controller who says "your name's Reality Suxs?!" in Red Dwarf VIII. Said actress has since sadly passed away.

Jay

She also played the benefits office lady in Spaced, who sides with Tim's hate of The Phantom Menace.

Yep, Xmas special next. I really hope you check out some of their live shows after you've finished the TV episodes (including the 3 specials they did in 2017) - a lot of the sketches are repeated onstage, but they do put a twist on some of them and get audience members involved. 'Live At Drury Lane' would have taken place between Series 2 and 3, 'The League of Gentlemen Are Behind You' was after Series 3, and 'Live Again!' in 2018

this show could of been a satire soap opera, running for decades ,just like eastenders is ,but just stupid gross and sick and immoral, characters coming and dying etc

Jack Veazey

Idk if you've watched it not yet but it'd be amazing if you could react to squid game

I dont know if anyone has mentioned it previously but the mayor is played by Roy Chubby Brown, a very explicit comedian here in the UK. Whats interesting is that that his real name is Royston Veysey, they named the town in the show after him :)
