Can't remember if this has been noted here before...but when Doris and the other guy were discussing how bad it was that Stacey was changing her name from West to Shipman, it's because Fred and Rose West and Harold Shipman were renowned British serial killers.

Josh, I think this first series you missed a lot of jokes and humour which don't tend to work well outside the UK, but I think you'll enjoy the following seasons (and Christmas specials) more, as the jokes and situations have a wider appeal. While series 1 was great in setting up the characters, it's quite a low key start compared to what follows.

It gets me every time. One of the most moving tv scenes I’ve scene! Especially for those like me whose Dad’s are also no longer with us. Josh does an amazing job of keeping composed.
