Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

The opening dream for this episode was crazy and hilarious. A lot of good stuff happened, Del Boy and Rodney stopped a mugger, Cassandra is finally pregnant and they were approved for a $5000 grant. But let's not forget the most important event in this episode, Trigger receiving a medal for saving the city money by using the same broom for 20 years lol. Excellent episode folks I really enjoyed this one. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

I have been waiting for this one!! Can't wait to watch in the morning with a cup of tea, Saturday morning routine 😄

Just a polite request to certain people (as it seems to be getting worse) - please stop spoiling things, or even hinting/alluding to things. It defeats the purpose of a reaction. These are big episodes and I know we're all keen, but just let Josh find out what happens by watching it... Even worse, telling Josh to stop at episode X or to watch in a different order just because it suits your opinion of the show. It's childish and selfish, and isn't going to happen!

AWR93

Brilliant episode! Triggers broom story to the Trotters bursting into the wake in Batman and robin costumes! All round hilarious 😂😂😂

It’s crazy to think that we have all nearly completed the entire show. Last year I quit my job to care for my grandma and there were times where I didn’t have much interaction with friends and really looked forward to the next reaction of only fools on a Friday evening. Now all is well and I have returned to work and still look forward to finishing this show with Josh and everyone who has watched week in week out. It really did get me through some tough times.

Josh

Feels like it wasn't that long ago you started with the first episode - crazy how time flies

Just such a classic. So well written and performed. Loving watching these with you Josh and re-watching with everyone else 👍🏻

Markos

my pc is 20 years old like triggers broom.. nothing original is left lol

Stuart Fewtrell

“Trigger’s Broom” has entered the English language now. It describes anything that has had so many replacement parts that it can’t be original anymore.

Okay Josh, now that some time has passed how long did it take you to realise that Councillor Murray was being portrayed by Deb Lister from Red Dwarf?😏

Gary Tamblyn

Apparently when they filmed the Batman scene, they didn’t want anyone seeing them wearing the costumes. The press were around, trying to get photos for the papers, but lighting crews shone bright lights towards photographers, when they spotted them. They were both hiding in their trailers for most of the night, and rushed out to film the sequence of about two minutes, when the coast was clear. making sure nobody spotted them. They succeeded. Then the BBC almost undid their great work by nearly transmitting a trailer to the episode, showing them wearing the costumes, but were stopped at the last minute.

Same as a few other patrons I’ve been waiting for this and excited for your reaction for ages, since the reaction to the clip that was taken from this episode. Loved it and knew you’d find the broom scene funny.

Anonymous

I have a framed copy of Trigger and his broom hanging in my storage cupboard 😂

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Such a great episode and reaction. Oh man Trigger and his broom 😂 I remember you reacting to the Batman and Robin clip on YouTube ages ago and wishing you'd watch all of OFAH oneday. I can't believe you've now nearly finished the whole thing. Roll on next Friday. Loved your comments about this episode on the opening page on here with the photo of the most important part Josh 😃

Anonymous

what a great reaction and review as a lot of others have said Friday evenings won't be the same with out OFAH but it's been a blast watching with you Josh roll on next episode. I'm still hoping One foot in the grave will fill the Friday slot when the show ends we'll have to wait and see.

Did you notice the TIT logo on the lift? The intro had a nice callback to the early episode when they were trying to sell bus tour tickets : Del describes his ideal future, and Rodney points out how appropriate it is that in his vision of the future Del is standing under the letters 'TIT'! By the way, the mega corporation from the Alien movies that you were thinking of is Weyland-Yutani :)

AfterWorkReactions

Thanks bud I enjoyed this one alot. I do want to check out One Foot so make sure you vote =]

AfterWorkReactions

I agree I enjoyed this one alot. LOL that clip is what made me want to check the show out. I am bummed it is so close to ending but it is a great show. Thank you =]

This was a highly anticipated episode and there were concerns during the Batman and Robin sequence that the press would get pictures and spoil the joke. On Christmas Day 1996 it was so funny and I’ll always remember it as a time the family were all laughing together.

AfterWorkReactions

I know it is crazy to think it is almost over, I will be bummed but I really have enjoyed this show alot. That is great that you are doing better man I am happy to hear it! Take care and have a great week!

AfterWorkReactions

Yea she looked familiar but I wasn't sure where I knew her from, but someone messaged me and said she was Lister's doppleganger.

AfterWorkReactions

I agree man it will be weird to watch another show but I am looking forward to starting something new. Awesome bud make sure you vote!

56:00 oh wow Linford Christie i forgot about him, and yh his package made every male jealous regardless of your colour ,im surprised he broke many records in running with that blood pudding down his shorts !!!

Manly Stump

You may have missed the fact the president in Rodney's dream, Raquel referred to him as "President Reeves" and then on the phone Damian called him "Keanu"!

Anonymous

rodneys dream was def influenced by both blade runner and back to the future 2 when a corrupt person runs everything

Anonymous

All I can say josh is , i watched only fools and one foot in the grave around the same age as a kid, only fools is my favourite ever show and I watch repeats all the time, one foot was funny at the time but would never even think about watching a repeat if I’m flicking the channel and I see it on UKTV gold

Anonymous

Yes, I thought the same. Rodneys dream is definitely a rip-off of the Back To The Future 2 'alternative' timeline when Marty goes back to find that the Sports Almanac had fell into Biff Tannans hands and he was controlling a dystopian world from behind a desk. Great episode though.

Josh

After you finish with Only Fools it might be worth adding "Rock and Chips" to the poll. It's a prequel to only fools set in the 60s by the same writer John Sullivan. Unfortunately there are only 3 episodes because he sadly passed away in 2011 before being able to finish writing a planned total of 7 episodes, but still enjoyable - at least I enjoyed it.

Anonymous

I always wondered if Cassandra being a maid in Rodney's dream was a deliberate thing as he had a thing about uniforms, I even remember him requesting that she dress as a Victorian maid in an earlier episode and her declining saying she wouldn't be doing that for anyone.

Anonymous

What? was a runner with a big dick (I presume form context) referenced in the episode? if not I don't understand the reference..

Contex - It's Just A Ride

I wasn't expecting much before I saw it but was surprisingly in love with it. They could have got a better Del but he did a good job. Everyone was portrayed well.... except for grandad which seemed pretty tacky to me.

Anonymous

I've never made that connection before. Given how talented John Sullivan was, I think you're right. A very nice touch!

Anonymous

Re-watching this show with you has been my Saturday ritual for the past year! Such a good show and was my childhood growing up, it has been amazing to see you enjoy it too.

Daryl

"Well there's a picture of it, what more proof do you want!" No matter how many times I've seen it, still makes me chuckle.

Sam Dilks

1. Is that the same answer phone Dels dentist date got him in exchange for Damien's highchair? Now that's what you call salty revenge lol 2. The beauty of it is, if they had gone as the Blues Brothers, there wouldn't have been an issue because they'd be wearing suits and ties and nobody would've noticed 3. The image of Del and Rodney running through the smoke dressed as Batman and Robin is completely etched into British comedy folklore for life, maybe the most iconic scene in all of Only Fools and of the most iconic of all British sitcoms

ALW

I used to love One Foot in the Grave; I watched it again recently, and although its a definite masterpiece, all the heavy stuff passed me by as a kid. It really can be quite dark and depressing at times.

Si Burdett

The company you're thinking of is the ubiquitous Weyland Yutani Corporation

Hi Josh. I know some said not to bother with the later episodes. They don't hold together as well as some of the rest, but they still have some great moments. I hope you see them through till the end.

Phil Spicer

The later episodes also kind of complete the story of the Trotters' lives. They also give the green light to the prequel mini series, Rock and Chips!!

Jehan Ariyaratnam

The Rodney Dave gag in this episode is probably the best one in the series because you don’t see it coming
