For anyone interested in why Ace didn't get a bigger cheer when he first appeared...he did. The cheer and applause was so loud and sustained it ruined the take and they had to do it again. That's why its a little muted. What a guy.

The explosions at the beginning injured the cast, Danny John Jules (Cat) had blisters all on one side of his face. Robert Lewlyn said he found pieces of cork lodged on the back of his mask so he got off lightly.

I've always wondered why the Cat has some of Duane Dibley's clothes in his wardrobe. For Halloween most probably.

Adam C Turek

could have been random loot from when they scavenge other ships/planets

I hope you react to the "Can't Smeg, Won't Smeg" cooking special from the BBC's Red Dwarf Night from 1998 since the celebrity chef (Ainsley Harriott) overseeing the carnage played the Gelf chief in this episode...and Duane Dibbley is in it. It would have to be after series 7 though...for spoilery reasons.

Manly Stump

"Suck my Thermos" 😂

David Lyons

Funnily enough, that wasn't the first reference to the Kennedy assassination; in series 3 - Timeslides, when they discover they can go back in time, Kryten suggests they go back to Dallas in 1963, stand on the grassy knoll and shout "Duck!" (before apologising for bypassing his 'good taste chip'!)

Daryl

It's the wall, it's the wall! 🤣

Mick Mills

Great episode. Dwayne Dibley should have had his own spin off lol.

Good episode! ha, you wanting Lister to have to sleep with his new 'wife' 😂 Josh maybe you could add the Bottom live shows to the next poll for a TV show now Derek has ended? But treat the 6 shows as one whole 'series' of a programme. I know it's different to what you usually do but it would be a good way to work them in (if they get voted for) I'm sure there are a lot of people who would vote for them. Just a thought anyway, not sure what anyone else thinks.

I saw bottom live at the playhouse in Edinburgh. It was hilarious, Rick Mayall was half cut (had a few pints) and Ade Edmondson kept cracking up laughing and trying to keep him on script. It was marvelously riotous. I never did see the girl I took again though, hmmm
