Enjoyed the interview with EB. Now for another dose of OFAH, Yay!

Anonymous

16 episodes in all left to watch. 10 more episodes to come after S7.

Anonymous

You should watch Benidorm it’s a U.K. classic I think you would enjoy it

Anonymous

Hey Josh, one thing I like about only fools is how well all of the supporting actors were cast for the roles. I was wondering, do you have a favourite character outside of the trotter family ? Mine would have to be Trigger. Maybe you could answer this in next weeks video.

Anonymous

Two bob bits = the shits ;-)

James Waters

Pretty sure there's 9 specials after season 7

Anonymous

Little thought ? Only fools and horses is widely regarded as Britain’s favourite sitcom of all time with a great cast and so many classic moments that’s the viewers have enjoyed over and over for decades. In the words of Delboy, “Shut up you tart!”

Jamie Sherry

That went well 😉

Anonymous

FYI - Two bob bits = Sh*ts

Joe S

“The two Bob bits” is rhyming slang for “the shits”

Anonymous

There should be 9 Christmas special episodes after Series 7 if you count Miami Twice as one episode (it was split into 2 parts originally but it’s usually stuck together to make a movie length episode).

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

That ending used to scare me when I was a kid, seeing the plane turn towards them lol. I'll be gutted when Only Fools is over :/ Enjoyed your interview on Eclectic Beard's channel earlier btw :)

ALW

I always thought the Plane joke at the end was really pushing the boundries of the show's reality, but it is definitely funny!

(Just) Steve

"love bite on Gorby's head" refers to Mikhail Gorbachev who was the leader of the Soviet Union (Russia) at the time. He has a big birthmark on his head. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Gorbachev#/media/File:Gorbachev_(cropped).png

Anonymous

I’ve seen this series so many times over the years - still love it. My all time favourite. Enjoy the rest of the only fools journey

ALW

Hi Josh, glad you're still enjoying it! There's a lot more content than Britbox says; the best thing to do is go on Wikipedia's episode list page; just read the titles and not the descriptions, and you should be unspoiled.

AfterWorkReactions

That was an intense scene lol I totally agree. I will be bummed as well I have been enjoying this show so much. Thank you I enjoyed talking to him it was a great time!

Austin Stratton

Lol I always noticed that in the bar, Alan ordered the orange juice and Del the tomato juice and they both ended up with the wrong drinks and never said anything XD (Two bob bits = shits, Cockney rhyming slang XD)

Anonymous

SWITCH IT OOOOFF LOL get's me everytime good reaction and review brighten's up my Friday evenings

David Lyons

Bronco stealing a JCB refers to one of those big yellow excavation diggers/bulldozers used in construction. It was setting up the idea of him stealing something ridiculous like the airport control dish later! (By the way, we call them JCBs over here after Joseph Cyril Bamford, the founder of the company that makes them.)

Keith Pratt

A quick heads up for you Josh, Episode 4 of this series/season "The Class of '62" has a scene cut due to music copyright on Britbox. On Amazon and iTunes the scene is intact.

Joe S

Also one that’s not rhyming slang but it is cockney is that vacuum cleaners are knowns as hoovers here, which is why del called it the “J Edgar” (J Edgar Hoover). Another that is Cockney rhyming slang was when del said “put your best whistle on” which means suit. Whistle and flute= suit

Seaon 8 Episode 3 'Time on our hands' is considered the actual end of the show by most. The following episodes were a bit of a formality for Red Nose day special etc.

Joe S

Nah those last 3 specials still have plenty of great moments. Also it’s not season 8, they are all just specials after this season. Also weren’t they all on Christmas Day, were they anything to do with Red Nose Day? There was that Beckham short one from a few years ago though

Anonymous

Oh for sure they have their moments, but everyone I've talked to about OFAH see the Time on our Hands episode as the last proper episode even if it is a special, and almost the 'canon' ending to the show. Yeh they are all specials was just how it was mentioned on IMDB as I wasn't sure which number special it was so had to look it up. I think they had 1-2 red nose day specials, could be misremembering tbh, wasn't too old at the time.

Hi Josh, Another couple of pointers for you, mate. Shergar was a thoroughbred racehorse that was stolen and held for ransom in 1981. He was never found. Confused as a newt - the true saying in the UK is "pissed as a newt", meaning drunk. Albert was basically saying, "Rodney wasn't confused, he was drunk". Alberts laugh sounds like somebody trying to push-start a Lada. A Lada is a model of car renowned for having really shit engines that always break down. Love bite (hickey) on Gorbachev's head - Gorbachev was the Russian President during the early 90s and had a huge birth mark on his bald head. The two-bob-bits - Cockney rhyming slang (sort of), meaning "the shits". (A two bob bit is a type of coin used in the UK before decimalisation). Knocked off (stolen) JCB - A brand of digger/earth mover. J. Edgar... Hoover (vacuum cleaner). Gendarmes (pronounced "shondarms" - Police (derived from the word gendarmerie, which I believe is the Italian for police). Your best whistle - Cockney rhyming slang (whistle and flute - suit).

Josh

Learning some good stuff myself from your comment!

Anonymous

Almost there with the gendarmes - they're the French police.

Anonymous

Says you. Back this up with clear evidence. Anyway - why can't you just let Josh react rather than feed him unnecessary and rather subjective expectations?

Keith Pratt

The people asked for more, they got more. I don't have a problem with the final 3 episodes.

Manly Stump

Gendarmerie and Carabinieri are the military police of France and Italy respectively. They also have police/polizia as normal law enforcement.

Anonymous

@BertFredStan, mate, I have no evidence, nor would I pretend to have so. Hence why I said by most, it was literally just from my experience growing up in the UK, most people consider the TooH episode as the finale. I've no idea why you think I'm feeding Josh anything, he can come to his own conclusions, as I'm sure he will, I honestly didn't expect resistence on this comment as its been a pretty unanimous opinion from people I know who've watched the show. But for real don't want any kind of drama for this sort of thing, just enjoying the watch along of what might be the best british comedy of all time..

Anonymous

Egg bound is a slang term for being constipated. Its literal meaning is when a hen is unable to lay an egg and it becomes stuck. Translated to humans - constipated. Rodney has belly ache. Is it because he is egg bound or because he has the two Bob bits?

BigChanChan

Did the people "ask for more" or did the BBC want to ring out as much as possible? The people voted with the viewing figures which dropped off dramatically over the last few specials.

Keith Pratt

It was still massively popular. Here's the top 10 TV programmes for Christmas Day from 2001 - 2003. when you are done with this show there are actually 2 spin off shows. "The grass is greener" which follows boyce and marlene and the other one i cant remember the name is about del when he was 16 and Jay from the inbetweeners plays the young del boy. It mainly concentrates around his mum when she was still alive and grandad when he was younger too

Arlasoft

Please, please, please, do yourself a favour and don't watch a single second of Green Green Grass. It is the definition of a cheap, lowest-common-denominator sitcom, the sort Ricky Gervais takes the mick out of in Extras. It's mind-boggling that the same genius that wrote the greatest series of all-time, expertly setting up jokes over the course of an hour before delivering the punchline out of nowhere, could also write this.

Anonymous

It wasn't called "the grass is greener"🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️its THE GREEN GREEN GRASS 😒

Anonymous

I agree, Green Green Grass should never ever be watched. It is weak. (And I feel bad saying that 'cause I know someone who worked on it.)
