This was a really funny special and I enjoyed it a lot. I was happy to see Del reconnect with Raquel. Hopefully, things work or for them this time around. I covered most of what I wanted at the end. I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday !!

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Oh no today you uploaded the episode earlier 🤭 I am still at my work 😂😉 I hope you are doing well buddy!! Gretings from Munich ✌🏻

YES!!! An episode so great my friends and I started our own annual Jolly Boys Outing 😂😂😂

AWR93

In my opinion, this is the best episode of all time.

Anonymous

Been looking forward to this all day. Probably my favourite episode.

Born and bred in Margate 🙋🏻‍♂️

Jonathan Giles

Top 5 episodes of all time. As I said a few weeks ago. Isn’t a bad episode left lol. Looking forward to the next one.

Peter

Shout out to Max Branning and Horrible Grandma.

Mr K

The bit where they arrive in Margate and Del is walking funny is from a film called Midnight Cowboy, which is where the song is used. Dustin Hoffman's character walks like it. Good film. Female swan is called a pen. 🙂 I will forever know this due to this episode. 😂

Anonymous

Of all the episodes, this has to be one of the best. And Work's trips like this used to be a fixture of working life over here, maybe not so chaotic but that's what sitcoms are for.

Anonymous

PS: the game they're playing at the beginning is Trivial Pursuit.

Anonymous

Oldest Coaster in the UK that woody, but it burnt down and they rebuilt it recently.

Manly Stump

"I lost my dolphin" 🤣 my second favourite Trigger quote

Daryl

Fun times Fridays. Love me a OFAH special.

Anonymous

The joke with the bell was a reference to people with leprosy(awful and very infectious disease) being made to ring a bell during the dark ages to warn others that they were approaching.

Anonymous

My take on giving Denzel the bell was as a kinda “plague” warning to notify those around to stay away maybe? Similar to the cross on the door during the plague? That’s what I had always taken from that scene anyways, great reaction as always mate 👍

An hour and a half of pure gold. Joy. Thanks Josh, your work rate on all these videos, time you take everyday plus editing, posting and commenting is unreal. Keep it up, much appreciated

Mike Doel

Yeah looked forward to you seeing that one, many more goodens to come

Josh - so good to see you enjoying this OFAH episode - so many others love it too. Trivia (others correct me if I’m wrong) a beano is a trip out to the coast (seaside). On the bus the song is ‘help’ (originally Beatles but this is by Bananarama) - I think, not sure, this was in line with the single released for Comic Relief (international fund raising charity). So good to seeing you enjoy this - thank you.

Steve King

I love how despite all the characters pronouncing Denzil's name in a "British accent" as "DEN-zul", Josh still uses the US form of "Den-ZELL" :D

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Glad this episode didn't disappoint you Josh after we've talked it up so much 😊 I think it holds a lot of nostalgic value for a lot of us who grew up on this programme as well as it being a genuinely great episode. It reminds me so much of the occasional day trips we'd have to the coast when we could afford it. And reminds me of watching this with my grandad (who died 5 years ago) when I was younger. Was great seeing it again, thanks Josh. I love how you've really warmed to OFAH :) I think you can see now why a lot of us love it so much. They gave the bell to Denzil because in the middle ages people who had leprosy (and other infectious diseases I think) had to walk around ringing a bell to warn people they were coming as it was highly infectious. Rodney was hinting to Del that a female swan is a pen, but he said Bic which is a company brand name lol. To be fair to Rodney, that Steven character was sooooo punchable 😉

“And I lost my Dolphin” Trigger is the king of one liners 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ste_UTB

Favourite episode, love that basically everyone's in it and every joke is so well delivered, reminds me of similar weekends with my mates so puts a smile on my face. Gunna be interesting going from this reaction to a drama with some heavy racism in on Sunday lol, but I'm here for it

Andrew

Really enjoyed that, perfect way to start the weekend, brilliant episode from a magical show,I rewatch them start to finish every other year, but it is really fun doing it this way through a reaction instead, from now on I will always rewatch them on this channel every other year I will probably watch this one again on Sunday night 🧐📺 Excellent content, keep up the great work Josh

So excited to see this episode... Welcome to Margate (or Marrgit as it's pronounced by southerners in England|) My birthplace. Always loved this episode because I was 9 when this was originally aired and at that time used to frequently visit the area as my grandparents still lived there. On the rare occasion I visit now, it's rough but it still feels like home haha! In terms of fools and horses, this is also so important for the whole back story... no further comment ;)

Kieran B

Beano just means a celebration essentially, like a knees up

Anonymous

The thing with the police looking del and the others way was due to the driver practically being carried to the bus ( they might've assumed del was going to have him drive which is wrong. But really it was the fumes and they're just a bit concerned until Denzil ultimately decided to drive the coach ). I guess Denzil also opened the window a bit by him or he had a shorter journey than the other guy and it didn't play up as badly possibly ).

Teddy Alison

A lot of very funny moments in this episode. Love it. Boycie said he ate half the seabed and copped an unfortunate whelk. A whelk is a type of shellfish so it was a joke about that really and him getting sick from it

Anonymous

Just got home from a tough shift in the pub, and I'm uber happy to find we've reached this episode! That's my chill out session sorted!

Gary Tamblyn

Glad you enjoyed it Josh. Really look forward to Fridays re-watching these. When I watch these specials it reminds me of watching them at Christmas with my parents and grand parents in the late 80’s. Don’t think I’ve seen this one since Christmas Day 1989, and I still remember it. I’d bet everyone’s Christmas Day was rearranged around the timing of these episodes. The streets would have been empty while this was on 🙂 The next one was shown on Christmas Day 1990. The cast are ageing 12 months with every episode.

Gary Tamblyn

I like the line, “It was so cold, the flame on my lighter froze over” 😃

Gary Tamblyn

But does it last ? 😃

Anonymous

I think he's just assuming it's Denzel. Different name to the character which is Denzil. Not an accent thing, just a different name.

Keith Pratt

"I think I might have a touch of that Yuppy Flu". Remember a couple of episodes ago when Del was ill and (eventually) diagnosed at the hospital with Irritable Bowel Syndrome? Dr Meadows said a lot of yuppies suffer from it.

Anonymous

Awesome - that’s my night sorted even though it’s 02:20 hahahaha

David Lyons

Del comparing Rodney and Albert to Zippy and Bungle is basically because, like you noticed, they were acting like children. (They're two of the three main characters from a long running UK kids' show called Rainbow. Bungle is a guy in a bear costume, and Zippy is...umm...a weird yellow puppet with a head like Stewie Griffin's and a zipper instead of a mouth!) Oh, and Rodney was trying to signal Del that a female swan was a pen by clicking the pen against his teeth, but Del guessed the brand of ballpoint pen, Bic!

Josip Buretic

One of the best episode!! That was so funny, as always I enjoyed your reaction Josh!!

Anonymous

What I loved about this particular episode way back and even now is that while watching I felt like I was on the journey with them on the trip to Margate great entertainment Josh enjoyed watching your reaction especially when you saw Raquel great stuff.

NEXUS

The best of the special episodes but not because it's so funny but because of the whole gang together on a trip, the bonding the laughter and the "camaraderie" . Such a important episode for the fact Del boy and Raquel got to actually meet again when so many "what ifs and could haves never happen for people. So much to enjoy and process in this episode and there is only one scene cut from this version, in fact it never aired on original TV and its a scene when they first arrive at the villa Bella, Delboy goes into the other room where the rude girl served dinner and he has a conversation with two other vacationers. It's also has Albert's funniest line "you bits of kids don't know the meaning of cold, you should of been with me on the Russian conveys, one night it was so cold the flame in my lighter froze" 😂. Lastly I don't actually think Rodders hit Steven because of how Raquel reacted positively to Delboys valiant efforts of protecting her despite them being ill played out , Rodney is very jealous and has a short fuse regarding Cassy and him and that Steven was definitely treading a fine line with his comfortable interaction with Cassy and telling Rodney to back off in his own home, he deserved a slap for that antagonistic attitude alone👊.

TheHigh

you seemed confused on the isle of Wight joke , that's where I'm from ! , its a island 3 miles of the coast of Portsmouth in England , UK with a population of 145,000 , as its only 3 miles away the emigration was the joke :P

Makes me sad seeing this generation and where we've ended up. This was Britain to me.... but now we have a left who hate us, a right who appease the left and immigrants who come here and hate us as well. The culture is shifting so much that we've allowed the current government to lock us down into tyranny. We have people with no values any more, their sole purpose is to be a victim and that is it. We have a weak police force who are too scared to enforce laws in case of being called racist. Ultimately it is all leasing to crumbling country that is tearing down it's history. Edit: This isn't a post about race, I grew up in the 80s and 90s... we didn't care back then. It is a post of how we used to be united under Britain, but now we've allowed the media to divide us.

AfterWorkReactions

That is an awesome memory man thanks for sharing. This episode was hilarious and overall just really good.

Anonymous

The actor who played The Great Ramondo is Robin Driscoll who co-wrote many Mr Bean episodes.

Matgo Styles

Wow, I'd love to live in your 80s & 90s Britain where racism didn't exist and everyone lived in harmony because as far as I knew it was a very divided time with black youths getting stopped, searched and even assaulted by police just for the colour of their skin. I also thought that young black men in particular were far less likely to be considered for employment than anyone else in the 1980s. I was even stupid enough to think this tension built up to such a severity that riots broke out across the country throughout the 80s until they were beaten down into submission. What a fool I was, eh? When you say "we didn't care about race" I feel you actually mean "we didn't care about racism" whereas now people are called out on it (which you undoubtedly will call being 'woke' ). That was Britain to you.

Anonymous

Seriously get a grip. I'm sorry but the fact you had non-white friends doesn't change the fact that the idea "people didn't care about skin colour" in the 80s is utter bollocks. To many people back then skin colour DID matter. Also the "left" are a group of people with varying views on all sorts of subjects and many don't hate the country at all. In fact some right wing people hate this country as it isn't like it was in the "good old days" where ethnic minorities, non-Christians, gays and women "knew their place" and were 'kindly' encouraged to keep their pesky views to themselves. As for "locking us down into tyranny" that's so ridiculous as to be dismissed out of hand, it makes you sound like an anti-lockdown/anti-vaxxer crank. You're banging on how people just want to divide the country, yet here you are dividing people you don't agree with into some group of "others" and assigning exaggerated almost cartoon like characteristics onto them. The lack of self awareness is staggering. As I've said before I don't want the comments on here to end up like YouTube with people whining about the woke/PC/snowflake brigade who I'm sure are all after your comedies. Surely the point is to enjoy the shows and the reaction from Josh and to discuss the shows we love and the memories they evoke.

Nice one, Enoch. How about saving your political musings for your next UKIP meeting.

Alexander Bond

There's always going to be some problems when you get too high a level of immigration in a short time. It just doesn't give the immigrants or locals time to work things out. This happens everywhere in the world to all races and religions, there's nothing novel or unique about it. I would say it's the most natural form of human behaviour, or any creature for that matter. That's why equity, inclusion and diversity being a hot topic is necessary, it's needs to hammer that natural behaviour out of us, which is not easy.

Steve Small

Honestly - what the f*ck are you on about? This is basically a comedy club where we can get away from all the crap going on "out there", and enjoy our favourite comedies together - no matter what walk of life we are from. Why don't you take your opinions (some of which I happen to agree with), f*ck off, and post them in a relevant forum? You're harshing our mellow, man.

Anonymous

Totally agree with Steve . I use this site as an escape from the outside world. Whether I agree with you or not, I just don’t want to be reading this kind of stuff in the comments. We all deserve a break from the norm. Come on guys....Just sit back and enjoy, and forget about the rest of the world for one moment! Please!?

Joe

The irony being that Josh is going to watch This Is England in a few weeks and that's a fairly accurate representation of a section of Britain in the 80's and 90's.

ArtVandalHey!

Dude get the fuck off here with this UKIP whining. Not the place.

Mike B

Cry me a river, middle class gammon complaining about being middle class gammon

BigChanChan

I really enjoyed this episode but I think I got over-hyped by the comments who said it was the best one. I think I've laughed at other episodes more so not the funniest for me but the overall story and the humour made it a good episode.

ALW

Comments like yours don't help either Mike. You make it worse with such insults. The only mature people here are the ones saying its not the appropriate place to discuss it. Because it isnt.

Keith Pratt

Only Fools and Horses comment sections on YouTube have become a popular place for people to air their political views and it's sad. I'm sorry to see it here.

Peter

Just had a flash back, isn’t he stood next to him in line when he meets the queen?

Ste_UTB

If this is the OFAH comments god knows what the this is England ones will be like 😂

Sam Dilks

You know you're into a show when you start humming/singing along with the opening theme tune lol. We all sing along. To me, this is my favourite episode - so many iconic moments: the trivial pursuit game; the coach trip; the bus blowing up; the cabaret; meeting Raquel again and the Great Ramondo - so many great moments

Tony Smyth

I can't wait for This Is England.

Sam Dilks

What a brilliant bit of writing from John Sullivan: you think the car radio Del's selling at the start is just a throwaway market scene, but it's that car radio that blows up the bus and the fumes off it that knocks Harry out, not the booze, and then that causes the rest of the episode to occur - a nice nugget

Anonymous

there is always an idiot that has to throw there far right views on everyone this ain't the place were here to watch and enjoy the comedy of this great show

David Jones

Just realised the actress who plays Cassandra's mum is also Sophie's mum, (Who Jeremy screws) in Peep Show!

Just curious what to do about the links? They all lead to an RB.GY URL..

For the benefit of anyone else having trouble with the links on this one, try disabling your antivirus for a couple of minutes until you've clicked through and downloaded the file. There's nothing dodgy in there, it's all clean, but some antivirus shields are programmed to indiscriminately block and flag up any link that's got a shortened URL, like these have. Obviously when you've downloaded the episode, remember to switch your antivirus back on.
