Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

I enjoyed this episode, looks like Cassandra might be a permanent character on the show. I thought they would eventually break up or something. I like her character she's really funny, especially when Rodney can't tell if she is joking. But you never know things could go wrong and the relationship could end  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. You never know with shows they like to keep you on your toes lol. I covered most of what I wanted at the end. Hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday !!!

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Vindaloo is a type of curry, on the hotter end of the scale - Indian food in the UK is like Mexican food in the US (a vindaloo is Lister’s favourite food in Red Dwarf so you’ll have heard it mentioned there a few times) At least one thing that wouldn’t be putting Del off here is the bill because of the NHS, he wouldn’t have had one, just the flat fee for whatever the prescription was. He just really doesn’t like going to the doctors, a lot of people seem to think of they don’t get a diagnosis there’s nothing wrong with them and I think Del’s very much like that

Manly Stump

You've seen enough of Red Dwarf you should know what vindaloo is - Lister lives off them! The curry monster from D.N.A. was made from a vindaloo!

Anonymous

It always surprises me how people in the US don't know much about India. However I guess it's like Mexico... we're clueless over here.

Anonymous

Looked like there was a cut before the seance started. There was a tiny bit of dialogue before that.

AWR93

Del in the doctors office 😂😂😂

Steve King

Josh "Who's Jimmy Savile? I'll have to look him up now"....Guess he won't be doing anymore episodes for a while as he helps the FBI with their investigations

Richard M

"Who is Jimmy Saville, I'll have to look him up now"..........yikes, brace yourself Josh.

Richard M

Yep and Dr Shahid and Del have some dialogue cut too. His "deafoscope" gag.

Josip Buretic

Here we go.... About Müsli: it is a preparation made from oat flakes and other grain-based products as well as fruit or dried fruit, which is usually eaten for breakfast with milk, soy milk, yoghurt or fruit juice.

Anonymous

Del Boy wouldn't have had to pay a penny for any of the treatment here in the UK. ALL free.

Anonymous

These days, everytime I hear Trigger's Jimmy Savile line, I can't help but laugh. So much context going on behind the scenes, that we weren't truly aware of at the time this episode aired - the knowledge of what happened just adds to the punch everytime Trigger says it. Proof that some people in the BBC knew what was going on. Definitely an inside joke.

Anonymous

I couldn't imagine having to make that choice between going to the hospital and spending thousands of pounds or not because it could just be nothing serious, you are basically speculating on whether you are going to die.

Hesketh

Yep, Makes me angry when US Scared to go to Hospital, Maybe the GOV should spend more money on saving people than war. Your right though Us Men tend not to like going to doctors etc. I'm the same.

Anonymous

I noticed a couple lines were missing from this version compared to the one I have. Nothing impactful though I've always liked this episode even though it does almost feel like a PSA to 30+ men of the time

Anonymous

Watching Nicolas Lindhurst sitting at Dels bedside, his acting is just so good, one of the most underrated actors from the UK. Josh this isn't a spoiler but there's an episode near the end where they talk in an elevator, Lindhurst truly shows he is a master of his trade here

Gary Tamblyn

If you’re suffering with money problems, possibly stress and with your heart, the last thing you need is the threat of a big hospital bill. I think we take free health care too much for granted here, I’d hate having that constant worry in the back of my mind. I can imagine It would make you even more worried about being shot in the US. If you then had to swipe your Visa card, while lying on the sidewalk. 😃 I didn’t realise until recently that it can cost close to $5,000 just to have a baby delivered in the US, and that’s with Insurance !

Anonymous

A vindaloo is a curry, one of the hottest. Lister is always going on about them. Us Brits love Indian food, and curry usually goes with a beer!

NEXUS

Like a lot have stated we have free health care in the UK on the NHS, taxes pay for it. None of that obama care ripoff ballshit over here luckily. Pretty average episode laugh wise this one, it's one of those more serious episodes that pop up every series. Good episode next and then pretty much everyone's favourite special after that.

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Good episode, not as many laughs but I do really like the more serious ones to be honest. Christ Josh, your story at the end is a nightmare. I can't imagine having the added worry of having to fork out thousands when I'm ill and having to decide if it's worth going into debt when it might not be anything serious. Or not going into debt and it ending up being something life threatening 🤤 that's so crazy to me 🤦‍♀️ glad it wasn't too serious! This episode has made me want a curry though :D might have to order one tomorrow.

Stretch

I cant imagine not going to the hospital over worries of cost! Im so sorry you had to go through that, not only the worry about your health but the stress of the bill.

Anonymous

I can’t believe you have to even think about $$$$ when wanting to use a ambulance 🚑 That’s barmy! I had a motorcycle crash in 2012 and got air lifted to hospital about 30 miles. (all free) I wonder how much that would have cost in the 🇺🇸 I would probably still be paying it now 😮

Michael

I've been rewatching the KP reactions so much on youtube but i can't bring myself to watch season 3 episode 13 because i cant relive it ending again xD 😂

Teddy Alison

The Seance is one of my fav parts of this one 😂 You’ll love the 2 upcoming episodes

Anonymous

Josh, without giving anything away and just so you don’t get annoyed if you don’t know where you’ve seen him before, Christopher Ryan who played Dave Hedgehog in bottom will be in the show soon.

AfterWorkReactions

LOL that is true. Although in my area there are alot more Indian restaurants in the last few years. I tried it but didn't care for it too much but Tay loves it.

AfterWorkReactions

That wouldn't even be worth it man for us. You rarely ever hear of anyone being airlifted unless it is a celebrity of a wealthy family.

AfterWorkReactions

Yea it can be really bad especially for people over here who are doing bad financially. You basically just had to continue to feel like crap because the doctor is too expensive.

AfterWorkReactions

This was a great episode. Yea our medical system is terrible, I know so many people who just are sick and feel terrible all the time because they cannot afford medical care.

Adam C Turek

has the vote for Sunday movies already happened?

Sam Dilks

I've seen your reaction to British football chants so I'm sure you now know who Jimmy Saville was. Back then he wasn't known as the monster he's been revealed as today, so Rodney and Del's reaction to Trigger thinking their mum was Jimmy Saville was just about him being a bloke with long hair, big gaudy jewelry and tracksuits - an insult compared to their dear mother. I think maybe now when this episode is repeated they may take out the Jimmy Saville comment because was such a monster

Luke Barron

I think I learnt something from your comments. I just got over a virus where i couldn't breathe very well when i laid down. I suspect pericarditis based on what you said!

Anonymous

I feel like the Jimmy Saville gag is actually funnier now that all his abuse has come to light

Jehan Ariyaratnam

It came out a few years ago that Jimmy Saville was a paedophile and sex offender. That came out about 25 years after this episode!

Anonymous

God bless the NHS! Sorry you had to go through such a bad experience, Josh.

Joe S

Great reaction as usual. As others have said brace yourself if you look up Jimmy saville lol

Anonymous

lol You might be in for a shock if you look up Jimmy Savile.

Anonymous

Before the next episode look up what a learner driver plate looks like in the UK. You'll need it to get a couple of gags.

JokerDanny

This episode has had a lot of unnecessary cuts to it, I have the dvds and harmless jokes like del making a joke about stethoscopes " around here we call them deathoscopes, because if you can't hear anything either we're dead or you're deaf" for example. I don't understand why.

Anonymous

The woman who walked in on the séance and scared everyone is "Nervous" Nerys. The woman Rodney dated in a previous episode. Also, is it just me or are some jokes missing? When Del told Dr Meadows that he only smokes one cigar at Christmas, Dr Meadows was supposed to reply "What about the other 10,000 throughout the rest of the year? "

Jehan Ariyaratnam

I haven’t seen that joke before- must have been cut. To be fair a doctor would never tell a patient it’s ok to smoke 3 cigars a day.

Keith Pratt

There was nothing "missing" from this episode. It's the original broadcast version that aired on BBC One in 1989.

Anonymous

The joke about the cigars with the doctor is missing

Sam Dilks

Aids was a "new" thing in the 80s and nobody knew what it was, so that bit between Del and Rodney in the hospital was like an early Aids PSA telling the public not to worry as you can't catch Aids off a comb or from a gay hairdresser giving you an haircut

Daryl

Thank heavens for the NHS. Really drives it home again listening to your story. It's so strange the differences in a lot of medical based stories between the UK and the US Breaking Bad would have been so different if it had been made in the UK. 🤣

Anonymous

Yes there is - the start of the seance scene was cut where Del made a few jokes before Boyce told him to show a bit of respect.

Anonymous

Always been there whenever I've seen it. She was hardly telling him to smoke, but rather getting him to cut back.

Anonymous

Just a quick check on Google shows that there are two versions. The original broadcast version is 49 minutes long and the DVD version is 56 minutes long. That's why some people are talking about jokes being cut but the version Josh is watching is the original broadcast version. Funny what you can find out if you do a bit of research. I really don't want the comments section here to end up like YouTube. Not every joke that's missing from the version you watched is down to "woke" people who are all after your comedies. So don't worry everyone, the jokes aren't missing because of snowflakes etc etc.

Keith Pratt

The Wikipedia article on Only Fools and Horses DVD cuts says this; MUSIC: In the original broadcast version, Simply Red's "It's Only Love" is playing in the background of the Nag's Head in the scene where Rodney and Albert are discussing their concerns for Del's health with Cassandra. In the DVD and video versions, this song has been removed, and no music plays, removing the whole emotion of the scene. This scene has been restored on the iTunes, Amazon and Google Play/YouTube release. The DVD release of this episode includes 8 minutes of additional footage that was not seen in the original broadcast version. An early cut of the episode was used for the DVD releases by mistake. Even though this seems like good news, unfortunately the DVD is still cut in two places and misses two scenes that were on the original broadcast version, which means the DVD isn't completely uncut either. The following scenes are cut in the DVD. 1. (3 seconds are cut when Rodney hangs up the phone after his conversation with Cassandra). We don't see him putting the phone down on the table. 2. (Del's conversation is briefly cut with Dr Robbie Meadows in the hospital.) DR MEADOWS: (DVD) You've been given a warning Del. Nature's way of telling you to eat muesli for breakfast. Cut right down on the drink and the cigars. DEL: (CUT) Whatever you say, Doc! DR MEADOWS: (DVD) Eat wholesome real food, and above all else, learn to relax. Doctor's orders. DEL: (DVD) Right, will do.

ALW

I like Cassandra too! Looking up Jimmy Saville though........hoo boy. Good luck there!

David Williams

As worried as Del was it would never have crossed his mind to worry about the cost.

A

A lot of funny dialogue in this episode. Bring on the next one.💪🏻

British people don't want to go to the hospital because they feel their problems aren't serious enough and they feel they are wasting the doctors time that should be spent on people that are in a worse condition. American people don't want to go to the hospital because of the crippling debt
