Dude the look on Dougie's face when Kev walked in with the chick was priceless lol. That sweet lady's daughter was a real piece of work. It was great watching Dougie call her out for being a piece of trash. The sucky part is they still left with the ring. This show hits hard man, they almost got me again lol.

When are you going to update the banner? It still has Brasseye, Blackadder and Phoenix Nights on it. If you don't get enough time to update it, I'd rather you skip a reaction one day and update the banner instead. I won't be the only one.

I remember karl saying he was really shaking after filming that scene with Shelley. He was so angry even though it was just acting. You see this so many times in life. As soon as someone passes away, scumbags like that circling like vultures😡 grrrr!!

Bill Oddie is a former member of the 70s comedy trio The Goodies, but is probably better known these days for presenting wildlife programmes such as Springwatch and Autumnwatch, where he does a lot of birdwatching, hence Derek's suggestion to call him. His first suggestion was to call Rolf Harris, an Australian entertainer who at the time was best known for presenting the show Animal Hospital. (But just bear in mind Derek was filmed before Rolf's, ahem, Gary Glitter style fall from grace, shall we say?)

Sorry to hear that, that sucks. A friend of mine in the States was a live in carer for his father for many years. After he passed away, distant family members, nobody had seen for decades, started popping out of the woodwork, contesting the will.

What are your thoughts on at risk people giving possessions to caregivers? There seems in my view to be a concerning reality that people may try grooming care users out of their valuables. Also do you think your mom would of accepted gifts while working with the special souls?

This one of my favourite episides. I can see that Karl is no actor, he got emotional because he was convinced to. Not forced, co-orced I guess. Its just such a great show with emotion and comedy.

For me this episode really shows the best and the worst of Ricky Gervais' writing. The part with the ring was very true to life, but it felt over emphasised to make the point obvious. Almost like he wasn't confident enough to know that the audience would get it, without hitting it home with lines like "We've got better things to do than this". I always thought that Steven Merchant was needed to keep things subtle, while making the same point. Especially on After Life and the Brent movie, which are guilty of the same thing.

That is a challenge because I know they want to do something nice for a caregiver who they will look at to as a friend. But Tay had an instance before where a client's family gave her a gift card for Christmas a couple of years ago and the company she worked for made a big deal about it because the client told someone and her boss at the time complained at her about it. It is a fine line because of laws and not wanting to hurt clients feelings.

Hi josh I hope once you have watched this season you watch the season one out takes after. It kind of takes the sadness out of the show to see the cast laughing and Ricky not being able to do his lines for laughing so much. I hope you check it out it’s seriously funny

Derek is one of those shows that I do generally like, although some of the writing is just plain obvious especially the greedy woman from this episode. But I'll always love, and look forward to your reaction, to the outtakes - they are hilarious, Ricky Gervais always has quality outtakes, you can tell everyone enjoys working with him
