You are allowed to vote on more than one show.

There will be a separate poll for the Monday spot. I would like you all to leave suggestions for other shows below that have not been suggested yet. I will carry over the top 5 runner ups and the remaining 20 slots will go to shows you all suggest. Remember if it's a sketch show or more than 24 episodes it will not make it to the poll. There will be an opportunity to suggest longer shows when Peep Show and Only Fools ends.

If you were not around for the previous poll, sketch shows are no longer on the poll. Shows with 25 or more episodes will have a separate poll when a long-running show ends. If you have more questions, please use the link below to read the previous poll post.

https://www.patreon.com/posts/time-for-new-to-44327131?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copy_to_clipboard&utm_campaign=postshare

The three shows with the least amount of votes in the previous polls were removed. This was done to make space for other requested shows. Patreons polls have a limit of 25 choices.

I know the poll will decide but you HAVE to do Brass Eye and The Toast of London eventually. Two genius underrated shows starring two men you'll recognise (Matt Berry and Chris Morris)

Anonymous

Fingers crossed for The Thick Of It - definitely the stand out on that list. And very topical

Anonymous

Where is Still Game 😱

Lee

Some Mothers Do Ave Em will make this poll eventually I hope 😂

Anonymous

Still game, fair enough pal

Anonymous

please be phoenix nights

Austin Stratton

Toast of London neeeeds to be higher it's exactly Josh's humour lol.. The overrated Phoenix Nights is gonna win but at least it's short 😂😂 I'd like to add: Misfits Black Mirror (These are one off hour long episodes that do not follow a storyline. Can be cherry picked from) Inside No. 9 (Same format as Black Mirror)

Ben Dunning

Hopefully Royle Family & Early Doors make it onto future polls! Love Phoenix Nights to win this one though 🤞

Anonymous

Completely disagree with you. But hey others are entitled to their opinion

Anonymous

Not going out

Anonymous

Steptoe and Son is a good shout if you like comedy about duos there's a few films too.

Scott sage

1 day a week should be 8 episodes or less shows , so you can do long ones shows and have 4 others done in the same time

Mark Carr

Fingers crossed for Brass Eye and Bean. 🙂

Mr K

Definitely would vote for Black Mirror and Inside No 9. Would add Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, too.

OutlawStar

Have to do phoenix nights before max and paddy

Gary Tamblyn

Not an out and out comedy, but agree that Black Mirror is good, Josh will like the episode USS Callister, being a Trecky. I think Toast of London is closer to Josh’s sense of humour than a lot on the list. The musical interludes are a bit weird, but otherwise really funny show. Never seen Inside No 9, I think the TV trailers for it, put me off, will watch out for it.

Anonymous

Inside no 9 is a long way off lol.

Anonymous

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is being slept on here. I'd also save Max and Paddy's until after Phoenix Night's.

Anonymous

Would be good to see Man Down on the list too

Anonymous

You'd be surprised how many people have never heard of it. Brilliantly written, massively underrated!

Anonymous

I'm not surprised as a the BBC never pushed it, they should sell it to Amazon or Netflix.

Fred bates

Who ever is voting for Mr. Bean please stop let's not include that nonsense 😄.

Bryter

May I suggest the possibility of adding Taskmaster (UK) to a future poll.

Christopher John Williams

It’s a shame Filthy, Rich and Catflap was removed. Not many people know about that show, it’s become a Cult Comedy and very underrated.

Anonymous

The fact that Mr. Bean and the Vicar Of Dibley are on here is terrifying lol. Each to their own I suppose! I think there is too much nostalgia going on for the Young Ones. Saw it again a couple of years back and was amazed how bad it was. There are a couple of funny(ish) moments per episode, but it really hasn't aged well at all. Glad to see that Nighty Night is on the list. It looses its way in the second series, but Julia Davis is disgustingly funny as a narcissistic sociopath. As others here have mentioned, I think Black Mirror, despite not being a comedy, is definitely worth a reaction (except the last series). Inside No. 9 has a lot of mentions, and I agree that the show deserves a reaction as some of the episodes are some of the best written and directed TV you'll likely encounter, and certainly rival the best of Black Mirror despite the difference in budget, but truth be told, a lot of the episodes are pretty flat. As for suggestions for future lists, I believe What We Do in the Shadows should be brought back, although I think you need to see the movie first. I also suggest the Royale Family, Hello Ladies, Game On, and Operation Good Guys. With those last two mentions, I'm definitely feeding off of some nostalgia as I haven't seen either in a long time and not sure how well they would hold up to scrutiny now lol. Anyway, I'm mainly rooting for Spaced, Dark Place, League Of Gentlemen, Black Books, Life's Too Short, and Green Wing.

Chris

You need to of ignore this poll and get straight to spaced. Baffling results so far. Also, nighty night is sublime. No Gavin and Stacy?

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Inside no. 9 has some great episodes. Porridge is a comedy classic, I hope you'll react to that one day (not sure how many episodes there are sorry) I'm surprised Mr Bean is so high tbh :D I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever wins the poll anyway Josh, there are some good ones on there.

Anonymous

Do all the shows have to be comedy? If not i'd love to see reactions to Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, my 2 favourite dramas of all time, love the Gene genie.xxx

BazMan01

Love Bad Education. Has some really funny characters in it, especially the head teacher.

Tez

Can I please recommend Murder in Successville.

Anonymous

Porridge would be a good one.

Tony Smyth

Remember Kids, this is a MODERN Reaction Channel. please leave your nostalgia in the back of your mind when you vote. (For example, my own favourite would be The Young Ones but I'd never vote for it. The only bits of it that's aged well were the bands, and they were miming.)

Michael Harrop

Phoenix Nights 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Z is for Zed

He's already seen Bottom anyway, that's a similar thing with less references to Thatcher and Cliff Richard...

Keith Pratt

Only 21 episodes of Porridge, including the pilot "Prisoner & Escort".

Anonymous

Please Josh- don't skip watching the Bottom Live on Movie night !!! Keep up the good work mate :)

Tony Smyth

Of all of the shows I didn't vote for, this was right there at the top of me list.

Spooony

Brass Eye is my pick. I love that show. Super short too.

Tony Smyth

Yes, ALL the shows have to be comedy. It's a feature, not a bug.

Kevin Redshaw

Can I suggest adding Man Down, This Country, and Him & Her to a future poll

Kieran B

Would be great to see What We Do In The Shadows on polls again, was glad to see it after I recommended it before. It is better if you’ve seen the movie, for one or two scenes at least but not essential. Just to second some others, would definitely think the following could work for reactions* Royle Family Inside No 9 Fresh Meat Porridge Gavin and Stacey There’s stuff I love and would recommend trying like Detectorists but don’t think it would work too well as a reaction. Royle Family is borderline but ultimately I think it would work.

Anonymous

Royale Family is a great shout!

Keith Pratt

I'll never forget watching the final episode and the BBC announcer saying over the end credits, "Filthy, Rich & Catflap" will return for a new series in the Autumn."

Rich Moyse

Cmon Phoenix nights

Anonymous

Voted for Black Books, Spaced, Phoenix Nights, White Gold and Brass Eye. Gavin & Stacey would be a good choice for a future poll (21 episodes).

Dave

Future poll suggestion: Taskmaster.

Anonymous

No Porridge on the list :(

Tony Smyth

You're a man like me KB, I think Detecorists went under the radar, but it's not really a comedy, is it? It's brilliant, no doubt about that. It's funny, but it's a slow burner. NOT SUITABLE FOR REACTION IMHO.

Michael Harrop

Next long term show has got to be Taskmaster, Josh would love it, the most consistently brilliant show ever.

slashdisco

But that's a sketch show. They're not in scope for polls as Josh can easily react to sketches individually on YouTube.

Tony Smyth

Seriously Josh... listen to this man... This Country, and/or Him & Her and I promise to upgrade my subscription.

Anonymous

Mate we need come fly with me :(

Anonymous

Especially with all the bullshit about it being cancelled :/

Teddy Alison

Mate you need to include Come Fly with me. I know you said no sketch shows but there are little stories that run throughout each episodes that are not covered in one sketch. So if you was to watch one sketch on its own you might not be able to see the other part to the mini story. Also, come fly with me has been more or less eradicated from YouTube due to all this banning stuff going on and you can only really find whole episodes on dailymotion etc. Would hate for you to miss out on such a funny show. Especially as it’s only 6 episodes so it wouldn’t take long to get through. Little Britain is different, although the episodes are very funny, each sketch is like a singular sketch and doesn’t run through the whole episode and they are much easier to find to watch. Also as an unrelated point, Porridge would be a classic one to watch, also includes David Jason.

Anonymous

How the hell can 53 people so far vote on max and paddy road to nowhere when he hasn't seen phoenix yet.

Anonymous

I just don't get Peter Kay, I grew up England but his part of England might as well be in Japan, it's a whole other country.

Gary Tamblyn

Yeah, some of the jokes are a bit dated, but it is unique and a good one to react to 👍🏻

Anonymous

come fly with me and Friday night dinner are great

Anonymous

Come Fly With Me is possibly the greatest British comedy ever. It's a shame it never gets shown because of PC culture.

Tony Smyth

Peter Kay... only second to Michael McIntyre in being shi*e and getting away with it. Do you remember when garlic bread used to be hilarious?

Anonymous

What we do in the Shadows TV show should defo be included next time, you dont need to see the film to watch it, and its absolutely brilliant!

Anonymous

I’m really really hoping for Derek!

daniel venables

can you put the alan partridge chatshow on the poll

Anonymous

I'd like to see the Thin Blue Line with Rowan Atkinson. For me its a very underrated serious and it's a particular favourite of mine.

Anonymous

Friday Night Dinner is good and has Will from Inbetweeners in it. The deaf, sometimes topless Dad is great "Shit on it!"

Anonymous

Come fly with me and little Britain

Anonymous

Some mothers do ave em, royle family, thin blue line, gavin and Stacey, this country, my family, men behaving badly, come fly with me. All shows are a must watch imo!

Anonymous

Theres an amazing show on BBC called 'This country' that should be in the list for sure one of the funniest shows I've watch in years incredibly British as well

Daniel

Alan partridge a scissored isle would be a treat in the not too distant future....

slashdisco

I agree with this and think it's the only flaw in Josh's short-term/long-term show poll model. He's already watching "I'm Alan Partridge" and loving it, and yes, there are the two other traditional TV shows: "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and "This Time with Alan Partridge". However, what Josh isn't perhaps as familiar with is that TV is much more diversified in the UK and not reliant on any one network. Hence, there's the Fosters Beer-sponsored Alan Partridge web series "Mid Morning Matters" which was then picked up by Sky. And, of course, the one-off Sky specials, "Alan Partridge: Welcome to the Places of My Life" and "Alan Partridge's Scissored Isle". I'd far prefer Josh to finish the Alan Partridge oeuvre. He may have the other TV series in his poll but where do one-off TV specials like "Places of My Life" and "Scissored Isle" sit? They're not series and they're not movies, but I think we can all agree that we want Josh to watch them!

Michael

YALL SLEEPING ON THE THICK OF IT.

slashdisco

It's a panel show. Like sketch shows, it doesn't belong in these polls as Josh can easily react to short clips on YouTube (as he does with other panel shows and sketch shows).

Danny

Would love to see The Thin Blue Line get watched some day. Very underrated comedy with Rowan Atkinson

Tony Smyth

This Country is not just quintessentially British. It's the best thing I've seen in years. Anyone who's ever spent more than 2hrs in a small town or village can relate. If you don't vote for it I will send Big Mandy around to you and if that doesn't work I'll call the Vicar.

slashdisco

Guys, we're nowhere near scraping the bottom of the barrel. Jesus, I can't actually believe some of the snobbery on here. Josh has reacted to fewer than 10 British comedies, yet you're now saying he's seen enough UK comedy that he's close to scraping the barrel, or at least the last few bits on the sides. I absolutely adore so many US comedies - Curb, It's Always Sunny, South Park, Veep, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Flight of the Conchords, older stuff like The Larry Sanders Show. US TV at its *best* can be subversive and brilliant and better than a lot of UK comedy. No argument there. But that's not to say that we're even CLOSE to exhausting superlative UK comedy. Some of the shows people are being so snobby about - Mr Bean, One Foot in the Grave, even Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em - are actually incredibly well-written pieces of comedy that have been successful the world over. The latter two aren't even part of the bloody poll, yet seem to have provoked some people's ire for some reason! I'd love to see Josh react to some of my fave US comedies, but for better or worse he's crafted a Patreon and a fanbase that really appreciates him reacting to British comedy. So before we jump so readily to the other side of the Atlantic, perhaps we should let him carry on with his poll and react to some more classic British stuff? Looks like Phoenix Nights is winning, anyway: as someone from Blackpool I adore it, and in any case it's acclaimed enough that it's more than deserving of his reaction. This has been a great community up to now, so it's a shame some people are so quick to look down on others' tastes. Comedy's a spectrum and there's much more out there to appreciate than just the narrow band you're used to.

Tony Smyth

This is a site for British people watching American people watching British comedy. We'll have no trouble here!

slashdisco

Haha brilliant! I do hope you're not casting me in the Tubbs/Edward role, however: I may be championing "local" television but I'm not the one insisting certain comedy is superior!

Anonymous

I do think Porridge, The Good Life, Yes Minister, Not The Nine O'Clock News, To The Manor Born, Butterflies, Dinnerladies, The Royle Family, Outnumbered, Gavin & Stacey & Open All Hours should be given a look-in as well. All Comedy Classics, most are still very popular, and 7 out the 11 shows I've listed here are still getting re-runs on TV. Top 3 of the ones I've mentioned: 1) Porridge [x3 Seasons, 21 Episodes + x1 Sequel Series (x1 Season, 6 Episodes) + 1 Feature Film (93 Minutes)] (Stars the legendary Ronnie Barker in his prime. A Prison sitcom from the mid-to-late 70s. Iconic show, they tried to remake it for the modern day, but it pales in comparison to the original. Like Fools & Horses, it always being re-run somewhere on TV.) 2) Gavin & Stacey [x3 Seasons, 19 Episodes + x2 Christmas Specials] (Probably the most popular one I've listed here. James Corden's public image and career gets a massive boost from this show. He co-wrote and co-starred in it. The last special aired in 2019, and gained a massive following of 18.5 million viewers at the time!) 3) Dinnerladies [x2 Seasons, 16 Episodes] (Often overlooked and forgotten about sitcom from the late 90s. Every episode written, directed and starring Victoria Wood. Fantastic writing and acting, live studio audience, and still gets the odd re-run on TV.)

David Lyons

If you want to take a break from Alan Partridge but still want to scratch that itch, I'd recommend The Trip, starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. A delightful little semi-improvised road trip comedy/drama about two friends (each playing exaggerated versions of themselves) bickering with each other as they take on the job of amateur food critics.

Anonymous

Would love to see Porridge on a future list. Ronnie Barker is a legend.

tania P. Bear

I can't believe Phoenix Nights looks like winning. Oh well, each to their own I guess.

Anonymous

This is the first poll in which none of my choices are breaking the top 5, oh well, I guess I've been spoiled since joining this patreon! I've always had 5 out of 7 shows throughout the week I was a huge fan of. Well, I'll still have Peep Show, and occasional episodes of OFAH (Great show I just don't follow it as consistently) and of course I'll be here to see Blackadder Goes Forth! And I live in hope that some day Black Books, Boosh, Spaced, Darkplace etc. will make the cut!

Anonymous

Im not sure if it fits into the theme of what shows your looking to watch but a personal favourite of mine is Plebs. Its a weird one to describe but its very british and although is modern in the way people talk and act its set in rome and is a comedy. 5 Series total and around 6 epis each so a very short and fun show, be sure to check out some clips on Youtube.

Mike B

Phoeni Nights? Really folks? No accounting for taste I guess...

L M

Where’s Plebs and fresh meat?😭😭

Markos

YESSSS Plebs is awesome.. and the comedy style is very much alike the inbetweeners

Anonymous

I’d like to see you react to Knowing me Knowing you with Alan Partridge! Some great episodes!!

Anonymous

Anything Partridge - Seeing 'Knowing You Knowing Me' was bypassed, may as well go straight to 'Mid-Morning Matters' as a continuation from 'I'm Alan Partridge'

CatsandCrafts

Is FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER not an option? I am watching re-runs over and over of your reactions to older videos as my favourites aren’t on at the moment. But wanted to vote Friday Night Dinner but I couldn’t see it on the poll anymore. My second option would be Derek. Hope you’re both keeping well. Lots of love to you, Taylor and all your gorgeous fur babies.x

Jack Nicholas

It's a shame One Foot in the Grave isn't an option. I'd absolutely love to finally see someone react to that show - No one ever has. It's a slightly surreal and sometimes dark comedy. Although I'm very glad The Thick of It was an option. It's a satire of the inner workings of the British government, though I'd actually trust the characters in that show to govern this country a great deal better than the set of inept clowns who actually are running the show here.

slashdisco

Dude, don't worry: there are still TONS of us that want Josh to react to One Foot in the Grave, and we've been banging that drum on here for months. As Josh has pointed out, this is his *short-term* show poll. So, 24 episodes max. OFITG is 42 episodes. Josh has already said he'll put OFITG on the next long-term show poll and a lot of patrons have been advocating for it. Patience :-)

slashdisco

This is a short-term show poll (shows of 24 episodes or fewer). Plebs has 38 and Fresh Meat has 30. Wait for the next long-term show poll! Also, why can't people read! 😛

slashdisco

This is a short-term show poll (shows of 24 episodes or fewer). Friday Night Dinner has 37 episodes. Wait for the next long-term show poll!

Kieran

Love(d) Phoenix nights, just don't think it makes for a great reaction. Too many cultural references imho.

Mick Mills

Oh no. Not Phoenix Nights lol. I wasn't a fan first time around. I might give it a try if it wins the poll though. Great to see Brass Eye on there. If that wins and is popular, maybe the very similar "The Day to Day" should go on next poll.

slashdisco

I know it seems that way, but it honestly has fewer obscure references than you think. The characters and plots are so larger-than-life that the references are only a minor feature. I should know, my last boyfriend was Polish: I made him watch the entire series and he loved it!

ArtVandalHey!

SPACED is right up your alley. Lots of pop culture and sci-fi/comic book stuff. Starring the guys from Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz etc.

Anonymous

I saw Misfits in one of your polls, you will honestly love it! But I’d stop after season 3. It completely falls off a cliff

Cherzo

all these polls show is that nobody on here pays attention AT ALL
