This episode will be added to my list of favorites Next Future echos, Better than Life, and Kryten. The thing that made this episode so great was finding out Queeg was Holly the whole time lmao. The ending really makes this episode, similar to the Chandelier episode of Only Fools. Don't get wrong in both of these instances the episodes themselves aren't bad, the ending is just hilarious and makes the episode stand out above others.

I didn't originally like this episode, but it's grown on me over the years. It's definitely the ending that makes this episode, though.

This is also my favourite episode of the first two series but I also really like next week's. I'll explain in more detail next week why it's one of my favourites. Not only is series 3 a significant leap in quality, I do think the latter half of series 2 is an overall improvement on all that has come before too! Can't wait for you to see series 3-6! Great reaction as ever, Josh! Even the moments where you hummed the theme music! :-)

"a computer doing black face" best take yet. The actor who played Queeg, Charles Augins was Danny John-Jules (The Cat) Dance Mentor years before Red Dwarf. He was also the dance choreographer for the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie (also starring Danny John-Jules)

I wonder if prefixing some technology with "smart" has been around for a while. Obviously we use "smartphones" but Lister referred to "smart shoes" in this.

I don't even notice race so I hadn't ever thought about it, we don't have black cinema the way you do, I was 23 when I realised me and my lifelong best friend were different races not just different skin tone. Chris Barrie (i.e. Rimmer) started out as an Impressionist (He was on the original series of Spitting Image) which is why is was so good at imitating Holly and Lister in this episode
