When the dad went on about having medical issues I knew he was a snake lol. He was just laying it on too thick. Their dad is such a taker he smokes, drinks, and wears all of Del's stuff. I think Del probably learned how to hustle from watching his dad manipulate people. Dell just turned it into a positive by becoming a great hustler instead of a slimy manipulator. I really loved the ending it was very wholesome. There are too many funny moments to list but my favorites are moments of banter between grandad and Rodney. Again great episode.

Yeah the specials are a must, they’re not bonus episodes they’re very much part of the series, they’re extended episodes - your first one is at the end of season 4 (“To Hull and Back”) BritBox groups some of them separately but here’s a list of the episodes in order (I’m sure you’ve seen it Josh, but if not hopefully it helps - beware that each episode listed has a synopsis with it, not spoilers per se but if you don’t want to know about the episode at all just something to be aware of). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Only_Fools_and_Horses_episodes

Great take at the end Josh regarding Del versus his dad. Another way of looking at it is Del is like a Salesmen on a really generous commission whereby you know he is over-hyping what he is selling or offering you something at unbelievable price, but the worst case is you end up with something worth its value whereas his dad was a straight up conman.

Just touching on that prequal I was talking about man rock and chips I forgot to say you get to see a young del boys dad and how his mum met another man who was rodneys dad who is actually played by the same actor who plays Rodney it's soo good

The difference between Del and his father is showed at the end when even after everything Reg did to Del he still put money in his pocket.

I have to agree with you :) I watch every day and enjoy everything he's watched/watching so far but I do find myself looking forward to Fridays the most. No matter how many times I've seen OFAH I never get fed up of it. It's so rich in comedy AND emotion that you can't help but love it and the characters most of all. It's great seeing an American's take on it as well. I thought Josh would like it despite some of the very British references because his sense of humour seems very like ours. And it only gets better from here, so many great moments to come :) Such a great programme. I can't think of a show so well loved and which appeals to so many different generations. Just going by my own family, I'm in my 30s and I love this. It was my grandad's favourite programme, he'd be 85 now. It's my mum's favourite, too, she's in her 50s. My youngest cousin has just gone 18 and she grew up on it and still loves it too. Loving rewatching every episode.

Really good episode. I think you're spot on with your assessment of why Del's like he is. I love how protective Delboy is of his mum's memory. Can't believe we're starting series 4 next week! That was the last time you'll see Grandad :( So many great episodes to come Josh :) I hope you and Tay had a great thanksgiving 💙

Was very sad to see Grandad go but I always did like uncle Albert more, both were great but I grew up more with uncle Albert and they made him a lot more comedic than Grandad.

I haven't spoilt anything? It's been mentioned quite a few times on the OFAH comments that Grandads character is coming to an end and even how it happens. People spoiled that for Josh pretty much at the beginning and he's even mentioned it himself. I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't know he already knows.

I try my best to avoid spoiler that's why I always use google , I just type the shows titles and episodes and a spoiler free list shows up with no synopsis but it leaves out the specials for most shows for some reason . So this wiki pages will help for sure since it doesn't contain any spoilers . Thanks bud

Only a couple of episodes until OFAH gets truly emotional. After this season they introduce arching storylines and the death of our most favourite character. No more spoilers. Can't wait for you to get to them.

The last episode of grandad. But a great episode, shows you exactly why del boy is how he is and the pressure it put in him when his dad left and del had to pick up the pieces. Del isn't just a brother to rodney, he's almost a father to in an odd round of way. I only started ofah with uncle Albert at first but went back to how it started and nothing actors bring something great to their roles. Glad you're enjoying ofah Josh.
