People in the comments have stated for quite some time that I would be lost watching this show because of the accents and phrase. I got into this expecting to be completely lost lol. Surprisingly I wasn't , there were only a few jokes that I missed.I really enjoyed the first episode  as I said in the video I enjoy brother Duos in shows , movies and animation . I didn't know this was about a two brothers which was a pleasant surprise. I apologize if someone told me that already and I missed it in the comments lol.

already watched through it with you're reactions, also watched some episodes twice already. About to go through it again as this show is superb and i know every episode inside out lol, what can i say i've loved this show for years it never gets old! i enjoy it since i can watch it with someone that shows their reactions, always interests me. it's a shame i didn't know of you back in 2020 and only a month ago or around xmas time, i found you lol

It’s so good that you’re watching this show. I’m surprised you’re going from the very start, it’s a show that went on for a long time and the later series with 60min episodes (with Uncle Albert) are better than the early 30 min episodes (although I still like the grandad episodes). Are you doing all of them? Cos that is serious commitment bro, but I know it’ll be so rewarding. There’s a reason this sitcom is often voted the best of all time. The best writing, the best acting, amazing supporting cast outside of the 2 brothers. Thanks man this will be awesome.

Yay! This is one of (if not THE) most loved programmes in the UK. It's wonderfully written, the characters are perfectly done, it's hilarious and sometimes very moving at the same time. I love OFAH so much and have done since I was a kid. My uncle looks just like Rodney so of course his nickname is 'Plonker'. I can't wait to watch these for the 500th time with you Josh! This is an absolute classic in British comedy 👍😁

Two fingers up kind of means the same as middle finger up but not as nasty. Rather than "F*ck off", it's more like "P*ss off". It actually originated from the British Battles with France in medieval times. Our longbowmen were considered the best in the world and if one was captured the French would cut off his bow pulling fingers. So longbowmen on the battlefield would stick up two fingers to say, "I've still got mine". Its meaning is sort of confusing to non Brits though. If it is done in a single motion during an argument or disagreement it pretty much has the same meaning as giving the bird. If you playfully waggle the fingers up and down (as in The IT Crowd and this), it is usually in jest and is a reaction to someone getting the better of you in some way. Oh, by the way - Ponce = Scrounger. Interflora is a flower delivery company Pranny = idiot Draughts = checkers And finally... This was the pilot. It only gets better from here. This time next year, Josh, we'll be millionaires!

so glad you liked it. the show took a good season to really find its feet (awkward moments like the music montage of selling the brief cases would go away and episodes would be laughs start to finish) and it would go on to achieve complete cult status in the UK. John Sullivan was one of the best TV writers to ever live, you will see in later episodes he seamlessly blends comedy into tense situations, having the audience in near tears for funerals, miscarriages etc but within minutes he subtly brings the light brevity needed to move on. stick to it as it only gets better and better - as Del would say " your on a winner here.... this time next year you'll be a millionaire "

I really like Only Fools, but there's a lot of British centric jokes. It can be difficult to follow all of the little jokes

The "V" sign is the same as the finger, f off. It has become so inoffensive since it was seen so often on shows like this in the 70's and 80's that a lot of Brits use the American version cos it has more sting. It's also so old that some references are terribly out of date. But what will always date well is the relationship between Del and Rodney that over the years became something very real to people in the UK.

All the dvds have been edited,i know the american dvds still have some that are uncut and Netflix and iTunes had some of the edits reinstated but that was mainly due to music copyright fees being payed. Sadly the series will never be released unedited again as the BBC will not allow it.

I have probably watched every episode 20 times, as everyone else said the series grows from humble beginnings and the writer John Sullivan has the skill to make things incredibly funny but also makes you care about the characters. Stick with it, it is so worth it.

Its often ranked as the best comedy sitcom to come out of the UK but bear in mind it is VERY British haha. It has a lot of 80's and 90's british pop culture references and slang that could easily go over the head of a non-british person. If you do get into it though i think theres about 8 seasons and you learn to love the characters.
