A question for the boys only now. If you were a woman/became one, do you think your life would be easier or harder? Feel free to justify your answer below.

Harder. I have several friends and my gf who are trans and so can speak to living as both and women get so much more shit (the trans women I know generally agree that they'd never go back, but there are so many privileges that men get that women don't, like not being stalked and harassed nearly as frequently or having their entire personhood dismissed because it's inconvenient). The one part that does genuinely suck about being a man that would be better as a woman would be having more and better options for clothes (guy's clothes really are boring and sucky)

It's been seven years since I started my transition. The first one to two years were a bit rough since I got out of my parent's house without any financial support and I was very mainly looking. I had a pretty masculine job in the paper industry which did not help either as the uniforms were genderless. But as the years went on and I became more feminine, I was able to experience life both as a masculine guy for 20 years and as a feminine woman for 7. Speaking from a social perspective, my conclusion is that my life just got easier and easier the more I went to the female side. Of course, this is my personal experience, but I like sharing it since I think it's rather different from what the majority of trans people say. People are kinder to you, and even if they realize you're trans, most of them seem so afraid of being offensive, always apologizing for the most minuscule of things. There are other things to consider as well. I fled away from the big city and went to live in what is almost a rural area. People are just so much more civilized here than anywhere else. Never felt safer my whole life, be it as a man or as a woman.
