It was a real thing. It was an add-on for the control that was just a vibrating rectangle on a cord that would duplicate the feedback vibrations of the controller. Actually, I don't remember if it was specifically for Rez; I just remember someone joking about playing Rez while their girlfriend commented on which game levels felt goooooood.

Indeed, it was made for Rez. And for the remaster/ remake/I don't know, it appears that you can wear a suit full of micro vibrators to use with VR on this game. I just have no idea where you can buy such a thing. xD
