It is very time-consuming to create this kind of semi-realistic shading using vector art. I always try my best to make things look as detailed as possible when using this style.

To create these soft gradients on CorelDraw, I use a tool called the "Mesh Fill tool".  As you can see on the character's face, there are these points. They can be moved in any direction I choose and I can fill the space between them with any color I want.
To make the hair I use a personalized brush I created myself.

Vector art has its limitations when it comes to shading, but with hard work, you can get great results. And the best thing of all is to have an art that can be scalable to any size you want!

I also find vector art to be very accessible. I work using only a mouse since I was never able to get used to a drawing tablet. And as you can see, I get these very satisfying results even this way.
