One thing I want to do is make some kind of middleground tier between the $2 and $10 ones, like maybe a $5 tier. Raffles would be a nice choice but those are restricted against Patreon's ToS.

So a few things I had ideas for:

  • Instead of a raffle reward, there could be a suggestion box each month. This would be separate from the monthly poll-print. Basically, everyone who wanted to could put in a few details about a request they wanted to make into a survey (and optionally provide their name if the details aren't clear or if there are problems with the request). I'd then select one each month (at random) and draw it, probably just flat colors.
  • I also was thinking about having a monthly 'school' session, via the Discord server. People at a certain tier and up would have access to either a text channel or voice channel. For 30-60 minutes a month I would stream publicly, and either talk and demonstrate an animation/art process that they want teaching on, help review character design, or review and critique their work. (Could probably work it out that stuff is submitted in advance if need be, like if someone can't make it.)

The thing with the schooling thing is that it'd require some scheduling arrangements and it'd need to happen at the same time each month.

All these perks would be available to all higher tiers as well, naturally. What do y'all think? Any suggestions or opinions?

Unrelated I'm gonna be overhauling my Patreon page visually in this coming month.

One other final thing I've been thinking of doing was using the messager to distribute the high-res images and source files instead of storing them on Patreon. This would just be to prevent people freebooting them to leak sites.

I'm admittedly at less of a risk as most my stuff is already free to access anyway, but it'd be kinda scummy if someone took my high res files and started printing things for resale.
