So, a feature that I and many others have been requesting for a while is being implemented!

Pages will now be able to select which tiers can see posts, instead of it only being the selected tier and up.

They'll also allow for duplicate price tiers.

The big thing this means for my page is I'll have duplication of each tier now. Instead of $1 being the only SFW tier, there will be a SFW clone of all existing tiers. So say you don't like adult content but you like my animations still and want to be in credits, you'll be able to select the alternate SFW $5 tier, and you won't get notified / be able to see any NSFW posts.

I'm hoping that I can also select ones to go public without it redundantly notifying users--since public posts on Patreon need to be SFW, I'd like the SFW version to not notify NSFW tier patrons when it goes public, cause they'd already have access to all versions in their private post.

For those who don't need to / want to switch tiers, most everything should still function the same. My approaches generally try to reduce redundancy, but there's also a chance that if you're in a higher tier I might make singular posts that contain all perks, while not bothering you with the more basic version of the post. E.g., say you're in the source tier. In the source file post, you'd get the images AND the original source file, and wouldn't see the post that has just the images. (Only reason I might not do this would be cause I post source files a few days after, usually, and I try to post them in batches.) Either you won't notice anything new, or things will be more organized.

This should go live sometime in November. This is great news and gives everyone more control over what they want to see.

There is one important thing to note! If you are in an unnamed tier (ie., "no reward") you'll need to adjust your tier to match the perks you want to see. (So like, if you wanted to pledge $5, but don't want to be credited in vids at all, you could assign yourself to the $2 tier and still get access.)

🤔 if you pay $5 but you select the $2 reward you will only be able to see $2 rewards in this new system, the $5 stuff will be "invisible". The new system makes it so people can "donate extra" and not "automagically" get rewards they do not wish to see. But this also means that if people wanted, for example get access to the CSP/PSD of illustrations, BUT, not be credited, nor want to commission you... yeah, tough luck, they cannot anymore select the $2 reward and pledge 10$, because that does not work anymore.

No, that's not how it works at all. I'll be able to set each individual post's accessibility. It's a series of checkboxes. https://blog.patreon.com/improvements-to-making-posts-on-patreon The only way something will appear invisible is if I deliberately set it up that way, which I'll make sure that's disclosed in any roles where something like that is relevant.
