"As vitality expires, two old friends are led through unique journeys of retrospection."

I now understand what people meant when they say the finales (or second to last episodes technically) go off the RAILS.

*HOW DOTH THIS WORKETH?*

The show is on Hulu. If you choose to sync up, I will do a countdown, and we will both hit play, this way you can watch along with me.

*This is a full video of ME, this does NOT contain the actual episode.*

Nick, your thoughts do make sense. I had mixed feelings about this season overall. I think the serial killer targeting gays in the 80s was a good idea for AHS, but their attempt to have a deeper meaning and threat with the AIDS epidemic is where it falls flat. You are right that it doesn't feel like AHS. I didn't share your level of contempt for Patrick, so I found his final scene with Gino to be very sad. The "horror" of AHS clearly ran out of material but I think the unfortunate thing is they likely planned it to be this way, given the dropped hints of AIDS throughout the season. Also, too many dropped unnecessary characters (every woman on the main cast!) that they clearly had nothing for them to do. I think if they had left this story as an allegory for AIDS, instead of getting so explicit with it, it might have ended better.

Here I am getting teary-eyed over Gino's loss and pain while you talk about Buffy!! 🤣 I understand your frustration with this season though..didn't watch Double Feature and wasn't that big on a couple of the seasons prior to that but this is definitely not giving AHS to me either.

I'd probably view it through a different lens if I wasn't expecting...American Horror Story lol

Yeah, it should have been more subtle...wrapped up in standard horror fare at least. This doesn't even feel like AHS to me anymore.
