Maybe changing reward structure? (Patreon)

Since I still have time before the new plan goes into effect, I thought I'd throw this out there!

I had a second thought about how to structure the exclusive posts on here -- instead of deleting older posts after 2 months and then having them available for purchase on Gumroad, what if I left all the old posts up forever? Then while you're pledged, you have access to the entire backlog of posts. Certain posts will still be posted publicly after a month, and the rest will be perpetually available on Patreon.

How do you guys feel about it? Would you rather have real exclusivity on some posts, where the older stuff goes away and only the people who pledged for that month got to see it? Or would it be cooler to always have access to everything as long as you're pledged?

I'm leaning toward leaving all the old posts up, but I want to make sure y'all still feel you're getting something worthwhile for your monthly money.

Not only do I not pledge just for exclusivity, I pledge because I enjoy supporting you and your art! Having the extensive backlog might even entice more people to pledge, considering they will get access to everything up until that point. But I understand what you're saying, just pledge once, get all the art, then dip out. But I also hope that the people pledging are fans of your art enough to want to see it continue, and to see you have success both artistically and financially. Ultimately, you do what feels right, brother. Trust your own feelings and keep on rocking on.

Thank you so much, dude! I'm glad the vibe in general is for increased availability, that's what I want, too. People who would grab everything and run will abuse any system I create, so I might as well give the people who DO want to support me the best experience possible.

Do you still sell packs of your older work? If so, it would make sense to pull from the feed after a set time to be included in a pack later. No "one and done" pledge problems, right?

I do still packs of older work, and originally that was my plan -- to remove older posts and then have them for purchase on Gumroad. I'll still make packs at the end of the year, but only of art that's been released publicly. But I guess the way I look at it now, people who want to be sleazy about taking content are going to do that no matter what -- in that case, I should make the experience better for the people who actually do want to support me. Hopefully that makes sense! Thank you!
