That's actually all the art I finished for this month -- not going to bother making a .zip file because it's just these 3 sketches. They're available for everyone.

May was a rough month. A member of my family has been fighting cancer for the past couple years. Over the past few weeks, their condition steadily worsened and they passed on. They were a part of my life since I was a kid and it's still hard to believe they're gone.

I've been at the doctor more often than I'd like -- found out I have sinus polyps that probably require an operation to remove (I'll find out for sure after a CT scan this month). My thyroid has also gotten worse.

Amidst all this, I've found it hard to dig out my passion for art. I'm sorry for that.

I'm doing my best, even if it probably doesn't always seem like it. I still try to forget about stuff and be lighthearted when I can. But drawing requires me to dig a little deeper and I feel like I'm hitting bedrock. I dunno if that makes sense.

Thanks for the support, y'all, and sorry again that I'm not as productive as I used to be.

You take care of yourself first, that's always priority. I don't think there's anyone here who'd say otherwise.

I agree with the Capitan. Take care of yourself first. The rest can come later. Keep on keepin on.

As the others have said, make sure to put yourself first - especially in terms of your care and well-being . We're all here to support you, not just your art, but you, the person behind it. Take all the time you need, and don't push yourself too hard. We're all here for you!

I wanna see what kind of get well cards, or fighting cancer. I feel like there is real potential there. Not to make light of any sort of situation you are in. The other comments are correct, keep on keeping on.

That's understandable. I hope that you make a steady mental recovery. Supporting your family in times of need can be very hard.
