I'm currently at over 100 renders and 1 animation that should be done by the time I wake up.  Progress is really good I would say. I expect next week to be even better!

Now the really good news! I was able (barely I should mention) able to get my hands on a second 2080 Ti and a brand spanking new CPU. I went for the 3700X and the EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Black edition. Best ones I could afford at a decent price tbh. On both counts.

What does this mean? Well, this means that as long as you lovely people keep supporting me, I will continue to invest and improve my system. With a second GPU, I can almost double my content. I'd say expect at least 50% more content with each update, possibly more, but let's be on the safe side.

I thank you all for your continued support and would like to remind you that I appreciate you. I hope you all have as good a weekend as it can get during these times.

For my new computer, I've been looking at the threadrippers over the regular Ryzen line. The high end ones are extremely expensive of course, but there are some cheaper ones too and they still have the full 64 PCIe lanes, compared to 24 for the Ryzens.

For two GPUs this is more than enough. It makes no difference for my rendering if the card runs at 16x or 8x and I had already purchased the MEG X570 Godlike. I couldn't just let it collect dust since it doesn't support TR. When the 3K series GPUs come out, I'll look into a quad GPU build with a TR even though they are very power-hungry, I suppose I can get a lower core one since I don't CPU render and save some on that power need.

So you can build on one computer and render on a second? That's the kind of configuration I was thinking about. I'm just learning DAZ. I have a gtx2070 in my laptop right now. I may look into finding a second computer and either modding it to have a better GPU or find something that's able to create in and use my current computer for renders. Which do you think is best?

It depends on what software you are using and how well "it" scales with more GPUs or CPU power if it is a CPU based renderer. In my case, two separate PC's would be highly beneficial. I can easily create all the scenes in one, constantly, and render them on the say, quad GPU system. Or, render on one, and animate on the other. There is no denying that two PC's are better than one. It does, however, depend a lot on workflow and the amount of time you can spare to invest in it. In other words, if you only do it as a hobby, there is no need for anything more than a single GPU PC with 8-11GB. For me, this has now become my only source of income, so of course, I'm going to invest in it, in hopes it becomes better with more content.
