PATREON NEWS
★ We had another color tie this month, so as usual I just did both. Usually when a base wins I like to cobble any alts up for you guys too because I appreciate you <3 uwu, but these two were both alts rather than bases, and going backwards like that isn't as simple from a how-much-time-it-takes perspective y'know. I'm """"planning"""" to still cook both of their base versions up, but just FYI I didn't manage to fit them in this time. Same with the monthly suggested sketch, which I still want to do even if it's officially a ""nice to have"". It'll probably pop up in there sometime next week.
SITE NEWS
★ I have a ton of crap in the work for this right now, so as the site gradually breaks here's why:
-This month I reworked the user login scripts to use a class format since now I'm actually starting to get good at php, which will come in handy for future updates and also make it way easier to manage. If any of you noticed that the nomination page was assigning you tier 0 for a bit there, or that the gallery wasn't loading if you weren't logged in, that was why.
-I have rewritten my auto-curator bot (the thing that posts to Twitter and releases stuff for me). I have changed it into an abstract class structure which will make adding more sites not a pain. I've also figured out how to get it to post to Pixiv, it's just a matter of putting the master controls together.
-A rework of the tagging system is in progress which will allow better curation, nesting, and faster results. More on that next month probably.
-Gallery folders are in progress which will allow me to nest item projects together instead of clogging up the entire page display. There will be an option to have them unfolded of course, and I'll probably also update the way gallery nodes work while I'm in there to modernize them and make them more efficient.
ADDITIONAL NEWS
★ I got my mitts on ToonBoom so I've been slowly acclimating to that. Also figured out some interesting stuff in Animate (like that modern animate has a stage quality option to make the application not chug when running at 4k and I've never seen anything or anyone ever mention this feature). The whole animation side of things is looking up. I know animation is the most popular type of content, but I still get kind of antsy when it absorbs all of my time and my regular output isn't as bulky as usual - that's just me right?
★ I believe I have found a way to mimic the old Flash format (animation loops until you tell it to proceed or finish) using HTML5 Canvas. This means that we would be able to make any mp4 video, webm, or gif work in that format directly in the Gallery. More details on that app as I flesh it out.
PERSONAL STUFF
★ Spring cleaning giving me them dummy feels about Dad, but hanging in there.
Thanks everyone; how you all find something you like in this month's batch.
