Yeah the scene with Sakura trying to take out Obito's eye was made much worse in the anime for some reason. In the manga it was actually more reasonable, where she wasn't hesitating that long, but Madara showed up so fast that there was nothing she could do. I have no idea why the anime changed that to make her look stupid like it did. In general the anime seems to exaggerate some of her bad traits much worse than the manga, for whatever reason. I think when you guys get to the manga, you'll see that the writing for her, while still not great, is not quite as bad as the anime makes it seem.

Right? Meanwhile Obito's treatment in the anime is the opposite. Obito's manga counterpart was very 1 note after his reveal but they fleshed him out quite a bit in the anime.

yep, the anime change Sakura a significant bit from her manga counterpart it's really bad.

Honestly, they defs dropped the ball on Sakura as a character but she's really just a medical ninja with strength, I think people are incorrect in expecting her to be as powerful as Naruto and Sasuke (who are reincarnate's of Ashura and Indra) but that just isn't her character. So I think it's more believable for Naruto to fully heal Kakashi's left eye with the power he received from the Six Paths than Sakura's mildly adequate medical jutsu lmao

And that goes both ways to people who hate on her for not being as OP as Naruto or Sasuke and those who like her and who wish she did more. I like that's she's a regular shinobi having to deal with being grouped with two insanely powerful squad members. It made her more relatable and unique to me. But yeah, there are those moments like how she just didn't act on Obito's command to stab his eye, things that she was well capable to do, that for some reason they didn't write her to actually do. Waste of potential
