On the topic of the school for SAO survivors - there are 2 points about it. 1 - not everyone is of the age to go there. 2 - it's completely optional. It's a reeeally good deal in many aspects, but people still can say no and try to figure out their lives on their own and there are potentially negative sides about going there. Last season, when Kirito and Suguha were on a bus to visit Asuna in the hospital - they discussed the possibility of taking exams to enter a different school. The moment right before Kirito took out the gun and dual wield again - the scene briefly switched to Asuna holding his hand - that was to show, that the only reason Kirito *remembered* about the gun is due to him feeling Asuna's touch. Even though she's not the focus of this arc - she still helped to catch the Death Gun and played vital point in all this :) The interesting part in all this mess that Sinon's friend did in this episode - is that it actually circles back to 2 things back in Aincrad/first half of S1. To the moment under the bridge when Sachi suggested the double suicide to Kirito, and moment right before the Floor 75 boss fight, when Kirito suggested to Asuna to run away, ignore it all and live the rest of their time happily together somewhere away from frontline. Reki circles back to these ideas to show them from a negative side with this character, who literally came with the goal of double suicide (and not the rpe, as many would believe, whether it was gonna happen or not - hard to predict someone's actions who's brains are off the rails so much) and trying to escape the reality, and almost quotes Kirito but in a very twisted way. These circles is one of my favorite things about Reki's writing, that I didn't notice for a long time until I myself circled through his work a lot. Since it was brought up - there are plenty of people that say they are Berserk fans, and would defend its SA but simultaneously saying that there - it's ok, but in SAO - SAO is bad for having it... can you imagine? It's usually followed by some sort of "oh, but it's different!.." argument...
