As someone who has been in the military, i know that you girls are right in the sense that the saiyans are not listening to surpreme kai, but what you are not talking about is how surpreme kai is not listening to them. Even king kai knew to let the saiyans just go at it if they felt confident enough and most times they put up a good fight. Even vegeta managed to severely damage cell in his perfect form before he regenerated and gave gohan the opening to finish him due to his strength being enough to get through his barrier of pure energy. It is quite amusing to see you lose all faith in the fighting ability of our heroes after the last arc haha

I feel like Krillin came with the rest of the z fighters because he's Goku's best friend. He's also a hero at heart even though he's just a normal human, and he always jumps into the fray even when he has doubts. This time he was just truly feeling like things were getting out of his league, and Goku suggested that he should leave because he felt the same way. He's basically a ride or die friend who's trying not to die at the same time lol. If any danger comes and he feels that he can be of use at all he'll be there. Honestly he even shows up when he feels too weak just in case he can help at all.
