I have more to say about this film, but I'll wait until the next batch of episodes come out. There's a reason I had them watch this movie before these episodes, since this movie kind of reminds me of a certain Dragonball Z film... (Edit): Okay so now that the other batch of episodes is out, I feel like this is pretty much like the Lord Slug Movie. xD Or at the very least the Gekiranger Movie has a scene like in Lord Slug when Goku goes Pseudo-Super Saiyan, but with the Gekiranger's Super Mode. ...So until then I'll just say that while I haven't seen most Super Sentai movies, I'd say most of the stand alone ones like this could probably be considered canon. I know sometimes they'll reference it in series, have the movie power up show up, or sometimes it's simply because there's no argument on why it can't be canon due to the MOTW layout of the show. xD Of course whether or not the Cross Over movies are canon is a whole different question entirely... Because some, if not, probably most of the Sentai Vs series can fit in the canon of both series just fine... But things get screwy once you add Kamen Riders to the mix. 😂
