So, something fun you could do while watching future episodes of Power Rangers is a little game called "Spot the Sentai Footage". Can you tell when the show switches to footage recycled from Super Sentai and when it switches to American footage? By the way, the series that MMPR gets its Sentai footage from is called "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger". ^_^

I was born in 1991, like right when PR started airing. So for me? Power Rangers is always been part of my childhood and growing up. And also really glad you two are checking this out just to see the difference. So many Toku fans say to skip/ignore PR or just completely insults the series because its nothing like Sentai or whatever else they say. But you two are checking it out due to the difference between them and giving that a chance. And that makes me happy. Hope you do continue onto it throughout the franchise, cause lemme say, there are going to be several amazing seasons/series for it, and a few bad before Nick took it, then its just... kinda stays as bad. :/ But regardless, I hope you two love this! Also some fun facts on PR. Billy, the blue ranger, aka David Yost, is actually gay. And while he does stay around for a long time, he leaves later in one of the other season because of poor treatment and such. As for Trini, the yellow ranger, aka Thuy Trang? Her story is the most tragic as she was one of the first rangers to die and give rise to the infamous rumor "The PR Curse". Its sad and she was amazing. I'll reveal more things later, but at the same time, maybe one thing you two can watch is "The History of Power Rangers" from Linkara. He goes into a much bigger detail and info dump on everything from PR. He's up to date with every season other than Dino Fury, and he has some good insights to it all. Maybe you two can check it out when you're done with each season? As like a special ep to know what went on with each season? :3
