In regards to the signal to the rebels that Keyleth made, hindsight is 20/20. I think the signal to the rebels was a good idea . Most of Delilah forces have been ordinary soldiers, with a FEW undead giants. Vox Machina couldn't have anticipated Delilah being able to summon a HORDE of undead. Plus the Briarwoods already knew Vox Machina was in Whitestone. Remember the duplicates hanging from the tree? Delilah would have also learned of the prison break by this point, and learn of the Attack on Vedmire(got Scanlaned), and the death of Anders(talked to much) in short order. So even without the signal, Delilah would likely have summoned the Horde anyway.

An important thing with Pike that I think you may have missed - what the Everlight is saying isn't that she has to choose, but that either path can be a path of faith. She could go down the path of pious servitude and living in devotion, and that would be a valid path - but she can also choose to live in the world, with her friends, and as long as she keeps faith in her heart and moves in alignment with her values, that is also a valid path, and isn't any lesser of one. Kind of a 'multiple paths up the mountain' viewpoint on faith.
