Heads up! We watched the Cooler films out of order due to a confusion on Funimation during the film day. 

DO NOT WORRY! Nothing was MAJORLY spoiled for us. We knew Vegeta was going to become a Super Saiyan based on how the series was hinting at it + the intro. We still enjoyed the film anyway.

the music yall been watching on funimation is because of copy right this rock music is in all the movies before funimation got the rights and if yall like that music yall gotta hear bruce falconer music each character has their own theme music

So you know how you started the movie 3 minutes into it...yea you missed the prologue that gives you the cooler backstory haha. That is why you were confused and wondering his relation to Frieza.

Every time you girls kept saying "Gray told us to watch this now," I'm shouting at the screen "NO I DIDN'T"! For all of those wondering, check the pic that is posted with this post. You can clearly see the timeline I gave the girls haha. This is not my fault. They spoiled themselves and I will take no responsibility. I will however make sure the girls are spammed with notifications when movies come up so they know EXACTLY which ones they need to watch haha.

I was gonna say >.> you seem like you don't spoil lol they should have waited another few episodes for this movie but some people get overly anxious and tell them it's okay to watch something forgetting what is all in the episode/movie >.<

Talking about how Cooler is more chill than Frieza. Some might say... he's... cooler. B) The music is made up of real rock and roll band music because that dub was released when Funimation was all about replacing the music in DBZ. This one got the real band treatment that a great deal of 90's anime movie dubs were getting at that time. I believe a couple other DBZ films got this treatment as well. When they showed these films on TV however, the licensing fees were HIGH as heck so, they did another soundtrack with their in house composer. When they rereleased it again remastered it came with all the alternate audio tracks, 1 with the rock music, 1 with the in house composition and 1 with Kikuchi's original music.

You should totally react to ocean dub scenes, the ocean dub is basically a child safe version of DBZ, no swears, blood, etc. Most of the iconic ocean dub scenes happen in the Saiyan saga and early Namak. After that it's whatever. After DBZ you should watch GT before watching Kai as GT is shorter and in a way connects more with DBZ while Super connects best with Kai, also totally agree on watching Kai completely. Also totally understandable about confusing the movies. I never knew there was a first Cooler movie lol. That and that the titles are almost similar. On the bright side you got to watch two movies about Cooler and made some progress on the movies department. A question for Gray and y'all, is the chart gonna be in every DBZ post from now on? It would be helpful to gage when it is time to watch the next movie.

to me theres no need to watch kai at least right after dbz isn’t it the same thing ? i rather see them react to super and then y’all can get to watching the non cannon stuff

It is hilarious that you got the movies backwards. Team Four Star actually made fun of the similar titles by titling their parody as "Cooler 2: The Return of Cooler's Revenge; The Reckoning" Actually, I'm positive I watched Return of Cooler first as well... but I'm also nearly positive that was only because it was AIRED FIRST ON CARTOON NETWORK. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remember Revenge coming first. I'd watch Kai at least through the Namek saga once you're done with Z to acclimate you to... things. Kai takes an absolute hatchet to the run-time of episodes and cleaves through filler. Possibly in ways you won't appreciate, but it runs through events at a far more digestible pace and with excellent writing. Having taken this journey with you, I see the value in watching the full length after so long, because some details are informative and just don't get seen in games or the like. That said, Kai still has excellent presentation for the voice cast and the writing. It's also cleaned up and remastered, with excellent music, but I won't pretend Toei's bits of new animation (specifically the intros) are an improvement. After decades of animating One Piece, Toei became really unused to DBZ's art style and began using shading practices that made the art look oddly flat and like plastic. It's negligible in movies, but Dragonball Super is notorious for looking extremely rushed and poorly drawn until the third season. After pinning down those issues, the Kai intros and eye-catch animations really stick out.

I hope that you guys are able to watch the versions of the other movies that have rock music in them :) The nostalgia was real in this one. Also I love that you guys appreciate Frieza so much since he's my favorite villain xD
