-I did warn you to have a stuffed animal ready for emotinal support. (though i quess a stuffed burger counts) -The herd of reindeer Chopper faced when hunting for the mushroom, was his own herd which banished him for being different. (what a bunch of jerks) -The One Piece anime is still ongoing with a weekly episode. -Sanji backstory went a bit darker in the manga. In the manga Zeff didn't lose his leg saving Sanji, Zeff ATE HIS LEG TO SURVIVE, having given all the food to Sanji.

Alright! Fun Fact of the Week time. Lets get this out of the way so I can talk about those last two episodes. Q: Hellllo! Aaah, my nose won't stop running. Aaah, it finally stopped. Oda-san, I've been wondering about something. Something about Blue-Nosed Chopper. What does the X-mark on his hat mean? Aaaah, my nose is running again. O: Okay, then. So about your running nose... Whoops, not that. I mean about the X-mark on Chopper's hat. It's actually the same as that thing. You know, the cross mark you see in hospitals. It's just tilted diagonally. Oh, and I don't think many people noticed this, but Hiriluk's hair was also the same shape. The shape of a hospital cross. There is your fun fact of the week. Oh, and how timely too. Okay, let's talk about Chopper's two backstory episodes. The Straw Hat pirates tend to have tragic backstories. Its part of a reason for them to become pirates instead of stay home. And Chopper's backstory hits hard. Themes of isolation, being cast out for being different, and finding acceptance. It's very relatable! I love Chopper, and although there are more tragic backstories to come, this one just hits hard every time I come back to it. So last time you mentioned Shanks being in the opening but we don't keep up with him. In the manga, Shanks is always in the first part of the manga, the recap part that mentions important characters. Shanks is very important as a goal for Luffy, even though we so rarely see him. When Hiriluk was introduced and broke into that family's home, he came down the chimney. Ho ho ho. Rudolph parallels are prevalent. This one is for all of you who are much further in One Piece. Don't worry, this isn't a spoiler you need to worry about. When Hiriluk talks about pirates to Chopper, he says they have "A well trained body hard like stone, Eyes like an Eagle, and voices like thunder that tears the sky asunder!" Wow. What foreshadowing. Ha-Kin you believe it? Anyway. Did you know that the voice actress for Japanese Chopper is the same one as Pikachu? Have fun hearing that now. Hiriluk names Chopper Tony Tony Chopper because he has strong looking antlers that could chop down a tree. When Chopper injures himself so the doctor would keep taking care of him, you can see that he knocked down the tree by hitting it with his head. You mentioned that Hiriluk drank the poison mushroom soup because he knew his life work was complete. He actually only notices the experiment was successful after he had eaten the soup. That means he considered Chopper more important than his own dream. And then in front of the castle, he kills himself so Chopper won't have been the one to have killed him. Hiriluk is best dad. Alright, that is enough. I can gush about this flashback for a while, so I'll cut off here. Wapol has shown up after all, so its time to race to the conclusion of Drum Island! Have a good week everyone, until next time!

Really? I could tell she played Hawkeye pretty easily but I would have never guessed Luffy.

Congratulations you just found one of the more legendary speech in One Piece. If you ask OP fans about their most favorite speech, Hiriluk's probably be in their top 3. I think the sheer badassery of Hiriluk and how relevant it is to the One Piece world makes it so memorable. One of my personal favorite line also appeared in the same episode, which is Dalton's "No medicine can cure stupidity" and the way he said it to Wapol is so satisfying.

Alright time for more Facts of the We- DRAT that sneaky punk Silent Eric got here first..... oh well here goes. Building off of Silent Erics previous fact about Odas love of puns. (MUHAHAHAHA your facts only make me stronger Eric.) Many of Zoros attack names are puns, depending on how the japanese words are put together. When the attack words are pronounced together, they create a completely different Japanese term. F.eks: Zoros signature move "Oni Giri" translates to "Ogre/demon cutter". However "Onigiri" is also the name of a Japanese riceball. (which i'm sure you have seen in many anime.) Other attacks include: (Note the multiple choice of japanese words) Yaki Oni Giri: (Burning/Flaming Ogre/Demon Cutter) OR grilled rice ball. Tora Gari: (Tiger Trap/Hunt) OR Toragari (All together) a Mohican haircut. Tatsu Maki: (Dragon Twister) OR a type of sushi. And many more still to come. Each of the Straw hat crew have quirks (be it language or reference) when it comes to attack moves. (I will get into those a little later.)
